Blairism

Today Blair wrote a piece defending Blairism, apparently he couldn't find anyone else to stand up for Blairism.

As usual, Blair was as modest as ever:

"I consciously moved us away from a ‘civil liberties’ paramount approach, to one that started with the rights of the victim, their pain, their suffering, and put first our moral responsibility to stand with them. Of course the two shouldn’t be in conflict. But nonetheless – tonally at least – I shifted our position and did it for moral as well as political reasons."

But the part of his article that really got my goat was this:

"I also revitalised the notion of community, of the importance of family ties, which in the 1960's had become more associated with the Tories"

Now I am not usually one for standing up for the left, but whenever you talk to someone about the 1984-85 Miners Strike, they all mention the sense of community, how they all banded together in order to defeat Thatcher.

In fact, if you were to listen to any speaker at a protest or strike today, you'd hear the words "Together", "Community", "Brothers and sisters."

After Corbyn won his Labour leader election bid, he went to a pub to celebrate with his supporters, and he spoke to them saying:

"United together wanting to achieve something better, and something decent, a society based on socialist values. Together we are very, very strong."

So please forgive me Mr Blair, but you're talking utter tripe when it comes to a sense of community.

As some say on the right, being a left winger is like being part of a religion, and as a religious man, you should know that religion is based around community.

Bombs Away

As we all know, MPs last night voted for airstrikes in Syria, but even before the vote was passed, Labour MPs who backed the governments motion had abuse hurled at them from their own side.

Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, was trolled by misogynistic, sad trolls, who cannot accept that we live in a democracy, which means not everyone within the same party, necessarily have the same views on everything.

Hilary Benn, who gave the most impassioned speech of the debate before the vote, has also had abuse hurled at him, one of the abusers was ex-SNP leader Alex Salmond, who dared use Benn's fathers legacy against him.

But the abuse wasn't just from other MPs or the electorate, it was from Corbyn himself, who tried to intimidate his MPs into voting against the government by threatening deselection if they defied him.

This from a man who has spent the last 30 plus years rebelling against every single Labour leader up until he had been voted in as the new leader after Ed Miliband.

The left has shown it's ugly head again, the abuse they've dished out is nothing short of sad, and unsightly.

By all means, disagree, argue, debate, get passionate, but hurling abuse like you're throwing confetti at a wedding is pathetic.

RIP Labour

30 years ago, Tony Benn, the grandfather of the far left in Britain, almost broke the Labour party in two.

Thankfully, for the party at least, Dennis Healy, saved the party from oblivion.

Now the party faces a new threat of being ripped apart, but with an old face, Jeremy Corbyn.

Jeremy is doing what Benn couldn't all those years ago, he tearing the party in two, and I have to give credit where it's due, he's doing it very well.

Ever since he became leader of the Labour party, I have new found respect for many Labour MP's I once despised.

Yvette Cooper, Hilary Benn, Chris Lesley, Ben Bradshaw, John Mann, Mary Creagh, are to name but a few.

They've all taken a leap out of their new leaders book, they're standing by their views, and rebelling against Mr Corbyn, and they're rebelling loudly.

Funnily enough, it seems now the shoe is on the other foot, he's not so keen on rebelling as he used to be at the beginning of the year, strange that isn't it?

Labour Is Dying A Painful Death

In just over 2 months, Jeremy Corbyn has managed to split the Labour party in two, just like in the good old days of when Tony Benn tried to reign supreme, and luckily for Labour, failed.

But this time, the Bennite's won, and they have placed the party into some violent death throws.

Firstly their stance on Trident, strong but not with the majority of the party.

Then there's their pasts coming back to haunt them on a regular basis.

Firstly, Jeremy's connections with the IRA, and his friendship ex-IRA leader Gerry Adams.

As well as McDonnell getting stung from his past words on the IRA, saying that they should have been awarded for their efforts during their siege against Britain.

More words that came back to haunt McDonnell were him claiming that if he could go back in time, he would "assassinate Thatcher." What a nice man!

Another thing to come a hang over Corbyn is his closeness with groups such as Hamas, and Hezbollah, calling them "friends", and inviting them for talks with parliament.

Even speaking at some rallies where, quite visibly and clearly, signs of violence were being held up/

Then there's his and McDonnell's actual problem of leadership itself.

Their first ever Parliamentary Labour  Party meeting was a complete disaster, with one female MP telling Diane Abbott to "f*ck off" by new Labour MP Jess Phillips.

Ben Bradshaw MP said the meeting was "a complete f*cking shambles."

Of course it's not all down to just Corbyn and his Shadow Chancellor who are scuppering Labour's few credentials that they had.

Ex lover of Corbyn, Diane Abbott has also had her fair share of shambles.

Most recently today, although we do go back to McDonnell being the reason, when it was pointed out that McDonnell was picture holding a poster for Socialist Campaign for a Labour victory.

It's headline reads "Our Demands"

In the list is disbandment of the MI5, disarmment of the police, and scrapping Trident.

At first McDonnell denied he signed such a thing, and when Diane Abbott was asked by BBC's Daily Politic's presenter, she said it's probably not true that he signed anything of the sort, and was then quickly shown a picture of him holding the said poster of demands.

Which left Diane Abbott slightly red faced, and unable to answer.

Now he's claiming he didn't read it before being pictured with it.

And of course we have Corbyn's weak stance against ISIS. 

Firstly he doesn't want to bomb ISIS at all, he wants to get a political settlement for the innocent people of Syria, by stopping the funding that ISIS receive.

Which would entail making an enemy out of Saudi Arabia, something we don't need to do, or should want to do.

Saudi is a strong country, and one we need to keep onside.

Also, in doing so, we'd need to get Russia, and the USA to agree to do the same, as well as the rest of Europe, an impossible task.

Then there's his stance on shooting to kill, at first he was against shooting suicide bombers, despite the fact that they would of course kill or injure more people, than if police/ army were allowed to just shoot them dead.

Of course he's u-turned (not his first), and said he does back shooting to kill if the bomber represents a threat to others.....

Corbyn is a threat to the Labour party, let alone our national security.

How Can Syria Reach A Political Settlement Without A War Mr Corbyn?

Political Settlement, that’s what Corbyn wants to help the people of Syria.

Of course everyone would prefer that, I’m sure even some ISIS members would prefer that, however, that’s not going to happen without the war first.

Let’s take a look at the state of Syria in its current status: 

1.  It’s government, lead by the dictator Assad, is chemical bombing its own peopl

2. ISIS, the rebels, are burying women and children alive, crucifying men for not being correct type of Muslim, and burning people in a medieval fashion.

3.  Boat smugglers are asking for €1000’s to get across to Greece, on unsecure boats, that ended up in the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of women, children, and men.

So out of that mess, how can you come to a political settlement without a war?

How do you stop a barbaric group like ISIS from beheading people like they’re butchers carving a a slice of meat off without fighting them?

How do you stop a brutally evil government from chemical bombing its own people without a war?

How do you stop smugglers from exploiting those genuine refugees from fleeing without a war?

If Mr Corbyn can answers these questions, I’ll hold my hands up and say I am wrong, a war was never needed, but in reality Corbyn himself knows he can’t answer these questions.

Corbyn is living in a dream world, where John Lennon’s Imagine is the national anthem, and we’ve created a utopia.

Well we haven’t, there are tyrant leaders like Kim Jong-un, Raul Castro, Assad, King Salman of Saudi Arabia.

Right now our biggest threat is Syria, and the innocent people of Syria deserve our help from both of these atrocities.

Firstly, ISIS need to be taken out, then something has to be done to Assad and his regime, which will hopefully slow the pouring of people fleeing, and risking their lives, and the lives of their children, for Europe.

If Mr Corbyn, or his Stop The War Coalition group, have a solution to all their problems without a war? Please by all means, start sharing, otherwise, stop talking nonsense, and let us get on with it.

#ParisAttacks

For those who are claiming that the Paris Attacks have nothing to do with Islam are burning their heads in the sand.

Just like the West Boro Baptist church in America, they're interpreting Islam to what they want it to say.

Majority of Christian's believe the Bible is teaching of love, the West Boro Baptist church believes it is teaching of hate.

We largely ignore these Christian extremists, however, ISIS/IS/ISIL are out doing them in the acts of extremism.

Beheading aide workers who have dropped everything to go out there and help people they have never met before, and leave their comforts and loved ones behind.

Crucifying other Muslim men for not being the right type of Muslim, burying women and children alive as they are easy targets.

Raping young girls, marrying young girls, killing young girls.

Brainwashing young men into committing suicide, and killing others in the process.

So if you honestly believe it has nothing to do with religion, you are either burying your head in the sand, or you know deep down your are talking bulls*t.

It's all about interpretation, and their interpretation is a bloody one, that we all have to try and stop.

Jihadi John, Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish

"Ding dong the witch is dead!" Let's hope he suffered a little before he died.

For those who are saying it would have been better for him to have been arrested, brought back here, and tried, here's why I say you are wrong.

Firstly, the aim of getting him arrested would have cost lives, they wouldn't have given him up easily, and he wouldn't have gone easily.

Is he worth arresting that much that more people have to die because of him?

Secondly, if we did catch him, and arrest him, who's to say that ISIS/ ISIL/ IS wouldn't try and get him back, again more lives would be taken because of him.

Thirdly, what would we gain by putting him in a British prison where we have TV, pool tables, gyms, the chance that he could possibly recruit people who are vulnerable within the prison, or even causing havoc on his own.

Fourth, what would those families gain by hearing him explain, and again blame other people for his actions?

What would we gain as a nation hearing his rubbish that it's David Cameron who has blood on his hands?

How would it help combat Islamophobia by giving him further platforms to spew his vile, nonsensical crap about Islam and the Muslim way of life?

What would we gain, as tax payers, by feeding him, watering him, making sure he had a comfy bed at night, most likely counselling (attention)?

What could have possibly be gained by trying him at all?

Freedom of Speech and Expression

Two reasons why I love this country, we have freedom of speech and expression.

However, we do abuse it when someone does something we don't agree with.

For instance, Jeremy Corbyn's nod of the head on Remembrance Sunday, or non nod of the head should I say?

The Sun went into overdrive about a nod, not about what the occasion stood for, but a nod, and I have to agree with a few people, it's pathetic.

We should be ignoring the politicians, the royal family even, and watching those men and women walk past remembering those who they stood with and were either killed, or who have since died the second world war.

David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn, even the Queen should be overshadowed by the remembrance of those who fought for our rights of freedom of speech.

Sometimes the nodding of the head can be seen as a religious act, maybe that is why Corbyn didn't bow as much as they others, but who cares?

Then again, as he is standing to become our next prime minister, we have every right to scrutinise his movements, maybe not a frugally as The Sun, but in a Twitter sort of way.

If people have the right to protest against a government, surely people have the right to criticise the leader of the opposition too?

So, let's all get off our high horses, did Jeremy bow his head enough? I honestly don't care.

Was it wrong of Number 10 to photoshop a poppy onto an old picture of David? I honestly don't care.

Here's what I care about:

"When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow, we gave our today."

Lest we forget.

Another Labour Purge?

Over the weekend, Ken Livingston backed plans to deselect MPs who are criticising the new leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

He told BBC's Sunday Politics that:

"If your local MP is undermining Jeremy Corbyn, opposing the policies, opposing the anti-austerity measures that we want, people should have the right to say "Well, I'd like to have an MP who reflects my views," it should be a job for life."

It's incredibly hypocritical after Jeremy Corbyn himself has spent a lifetime of opposing ex Labour leaders such as Blair, and Brown, and has been commended for doing so.

What makes it worse, they begged, and practically forced those moderate MPs, who either backed Yvette Cooper or Andy Burnham, to give Jeremy Corbyn their endorsement so he could stand for the Labour leadership to "widen the debate."

Now these MPs are sticking to what they believe, like Jeremy Corbyn did as a back bencher for years, they might be purged for doing so.

Because the far left don't agree with the centrists of the party, they are therefore no longer wanted, or needed, unless you're called Andy Burnham, and will change your beliefs just so you can have a little power.

Is this what Corbyn meant by a "new, gentler politics"? Is this what his supporters meant by widening the debate?

Mike Gapes, Labour MP for Ilford South, recently disagreed on Twitter, and Corbyn's supporters and trolls quickly came out to blast him for it, saying he should leave the Labour Party, that he was no longer welcome.

How kind!

Calamity Corbyn

It's fair to say Corbyn has not had a easy ride in his first month as Labour leader.

Who's to blame? No one but Corbyn himself.

Yes, yesterday he had a pretty good Prime Ministers Questions, he held his own, and had follow up questions, but as Dan Hodges (of the Telegraph) tweeted.

"We have now reached the point where the leader of the opposition actually managing to ask a follow up question merits praise."

It's not a great start.

But this isn't Corbyn's only calamity.

He and his Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell, have managed to upset majority of the Labour MPs by u-turning on the Chancellor's fiscal chart.

At the conference, McDonnell said they would back Osborne's fiscal chart, only to tell his MP's during a Parliamentary Labour Party meeting, that they are would now NOT be backing the Chancellor.

This angered some MPs to storm out, one claiming the meeting was a "total f*cking shambles."

Another claimed, "huge joke."

Not a good start their either.

Some of the Corbynista's were perplexed as to why the MPs were so enraged by this sudden change of heart.

Now, it's not because he u-turned, it's how he did it, last minute dotcom, not consulting anyone before hand that their might be a change of heart, just one meeting, telling them what to do.

16 MP's abstained, 37 failed to turn up, the rest voted against in vain, George Osborne had a comfortable win, and the fiscal chart has been past through the House of Commons with a majority of 62.

Corbyn also has had to deal with his past, closely linked with the IRA, and friend's with the IRA's ex leader Gerry Adams.

Again, Corbynista's try to make it come across as he was talking to them for peace talks, because we're going to believe that?

Also, his words have come back to bite him, inviting members of Hamas and Hezbollah, known terrorist groups, to talk in the House of Commons, and calling them "friends."

Not only has been Corbyn who's had his own words come and haunt him, McDonnell has his fair share too.

Saying if he could go back in time, he'd have assassinated Thatcher, and said that those actions of the IRA merited awards.

All this in less than a year, makes Ed Miliband look quite competent.

Calamity Corbyn is Labour's future? Oh dear oh dear.

#CPC15 Protests

It's odd, but when I saw some of same protestors from yesterday, this morning, I had a little respect for them.

They were obviously that passionate about whatever they were shouting about, they came back a second day........ this respect was quickly diminished.

Firstly yesterdays incident where a protestor spat in a journalists face. Why? What did you achieve by doing this? What was gained from you spitting in someones face?

Nothing.

Today, as I left the main area to be somewhere else, a protestor decided to follow me down the road a bit, his face half covered, his eyes bulging wide, shouting in my face:

"Get out Tory scum. This isn't your city. You are not welcome here. Now fuck off Tory scum."

Firstly, no, I won't fuck off, but please feel free to do so yourself any time.

Secondly, what did you achieve by getting in my face? Are you proud that you intimidated me? 

The answer is, yes he probably is proud. They say they care, but that only means to the ones who agree with them, not those who have differing opinions.

God forbid we live in a society where people are allowed to have their own opinions.

They say they have their right to protest, which they do, but I'm not allowed to disagree with what they're protesting against (is what I was told yesterday).

I was also told that because I didn't march with them, that made everyone who did march a kinder person.

What did the march achieve? No one can actually answer me.

When I said how many lives have they managed to actually help and turn around, no one can answer, instead I get, "You don't have to be poor to stand up for them."

Absolutely not, but how many lives have you helped? None is normally the answer.

See, I can say I been part of a process which has helped quite a few people. In the small company I work for, I've seen people join as boys, who are not academic, a few have even found it difficult to spell their own name, but with our help, they've earned money, got a skill, gained experience, and achieved a qualification.

A private company, who apparently only cares for profits, has helped at least 15 young men turn their lives around.

Paid for their education, and paid them whilst they're learning.

The state had all but abandoned them when it was obvious they were not academics, and was more than ready to take them on, and keep paying out the dole.

How many of these protestors can say they've managed to help someone like my company?

How many protestors have seen people join as boys, and watch them grow into men?

How many protestors have given someone that chance to turn their life around?

Speech of Speeches

Shall we be honest, Jeremy Corbyn's Speech was awful.

Apart from the fact that it didn't actually say anything, apart from his stance on Trident, it was rather boring.

He hit out at the media too many times, he bashed the Tories, but never actually said what Labour would do if they were in power.

He said what they'll do whilst in opposition, which puts the stance out to those who do vote Labour, that they're not really expecting to win, and he would almost prefer being the leader of the opposition, not of Government.

Although to be fair to Jeremy Corbyn he did start off well, he made a few light jokes, and had the conference eating out of the palm of his hands, but that didn't last too long.

The applause got weaker by the second, and people's attention span started wondering off.

He thanked for too long, he media bashed for too long, he Tory bashed for too long, and he waffled for too long.

Yes, by all means have debates within the party to say what your stance on certain things will be, and I quite like the idea he doesn't want to be a dictator like leader, however, you can't pick and chose when you want to dictate the Party's stance over one subject, e.g. Trident.

Also this conference has been rather revealing of how difficult he's going to find John McDonnell, twice having to ask him to wave, then thank him for it.

Corbyn's found his Brown, to his Blair.

He tried to make a case for the self employed, so that they receive Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, and Paternity Pay, most people I know who are self employed have received all those things whilst being self employed.

But he also tried to make a case for what they're earning, the problem with being self employed is, you have to find the work for yourself, you have to price yourself in with the competition, and sadly that sometimes means having to lower your prices.

How he'll get round that I do not know.

He tried to make a case for those who are in private renting, here he can probably win a few voters over, as I do believe prices have shot up, however, he made a mistake when he said we should take as many refugees as we can, then in the same sentence, say how low on housing we are.

He waffled on against what the Tories are doing, and what the media has said about him, of which he decided to take the most extreme headlines, and not tackle the ones that really matter.

His speech was a disappointment for me, I was bored (even Ed Miliband didn't bore me that much when he forgot his speech last year), and I was transferred back into a time when strikes were ripe, and the unions had the country by it's balls.

Overall, he's got momentum, but nothing to keep it going except for a few tidbits of sound bites here and there. 

There was nothing new, or nice, or kind, just the same old drivel we've heard in the past, and defeated in the past.

Self Employed & The Left

Lately the left has been trying to win over the self employed..... good luck.

Firstly, when you're proposing the Robin Hood Tax will not be a winning formula.

If they're already struggling, as the left are proposing, taxing the self employed more and more only to give it back to them at a smaller rate will not be helping them out.

This proves just how illiterate the left really are.

The self employed, and small to medium businesses will suffer under a far left wing government such as what Corbyn and McDonnell are proposing.

In fact the self owned business that I work for will more than likely cease to exist under a Corbyn lead government.

We pay our taxes, we pay our due, we do not use any schemes that help us out of paying taxes, unlike some people who say they believe in paying higher taxes, then it turns out they got their wife to go bankrupt so he didn't have to pay as much tax (Martin Freeman).

It is small businesses, and the self employed people who give those who have been so badly let down by the state a chance to move on in life.

It companies like mine who pay people to not only learn on the job, but to get an education, a qualification, a skill.

We need help, not hindrance, we need support, not destroying, and Corbyn and McDonnell will only destroy us, they will never champion us.

Robin Hood Tax?

Labour's Shadow Chancellor has said that if they were to win the next General Election, they would introduce the Robin Hood Tax.

But as Oliver Cooper on Twitter pointed out:

"Robin Hood took money from the government to give to the people.
Robin Hood Tax would take from the people to give to the government."

Never a truer word said.

Another problem, I find is, why would someone who's working every hours God sends them, and is still struggling, why would they want to give more of their hard earned money to only get it back at a smaller rate?

How does that make sense? How is that fair?

Surely trying to sort out low wages is better than upping taxes? Apparently not.

Corbyn Has Won

The Labour party has elected Jeremy Corbyn as their new leader.

Jeremy Corbyn, the man who is close friends with Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, calls hezbola and Hamas friends.

This is the end of a viable Labour party.

For the forsee able future Labour is finished.

Yes he won with 59.9% of the vote however 40% didn't vote for him.

Including majority of Labour MPs, who audibly oppose what Jeremy stands for.

Will they break off and join the Lib Dems?

Or will they make his life hell from within the party?

Either way I can't wait to see his first PMQs, and the majority of Labour's backbenchers faces as their new leader takes to the dispatch box.

Too Little Too Late

In the last parliament the coalition government gave the House of Commons a vote on whether to intervene in Syria or not.

I remember, and I am guilty of this, feeling quite proud of those who voted against doing something, as all I could imagine was another Afghan/ Iraq/ Libya moment.

Maybe we all acted to hastily, as now our front pages are filled with the picture of a poor child who has drowned whilst trying to escape the perils of Syria.

Labour, the main instegators behind voting against intervention, was quite proud of itself, I would how they feel today?

After seeing the picture of the toddler who washed up dead on a Turkish beach, do they still feel proud that they won something against a Tory PM?

Do they feel proud that we had a chance, now it's too late?

Do they feel proud that all we can offer now is, for those who survive at least, a room to each family who does eventually make it over here?

That whilst they were in power they decided to NOT build enough adequate housing, now creating this housing crisis this problem.

That whilst they were in pwoer they didnt build enough schools, creating this shortage of placements families are now faced with too.

Labour should have done a lot in the last 20 years, now all they can do is hope a Conservative Prime Minister actually does do what they should have 10 years ago.

Instead of palling up to George Bush, they should have been building, instead of searching for more immigrants to come to the UK, they should have been building.

Instead of worrying about Deidre in Coronation Street, they should have been building.

Too little, too late from Labour, as per usual.

Refugees or Migrants Something Needs To Be Done

I honestly feel sorry for these people in Calais, and those trying to escape places like Syria.

Especially Syrian's, they're own government is chemical bombing them, and then there's ISIL to contend with, not to mention the people trying to flog them out of 2000 Euro's to get a on rickety old boat, that hopefully doesn't capsize or sink.

If they're then lucky enough to make to Italy or Greece, and they get seen to by correct government officials, and not more scammers who load them in vans by the dozens and take them across Europe, only to die in the back due to suffocation.

If they do manage to make it to France, by whatever means, they then get stuck at the French borders, only to be told by us, "We don't want you."

Now, I don't believe majority of us "don't want them."

Firstly, we have no border control, this scares people, not knowing who coming and going out of your country doing god knows what isn't exactly a comforting thought.

Secondly, the left constantly bang on about a housing crisis, if we have a housing crisis that we're trying to sort out now, where are these poor people going to live?

They're going to go from squalor to squalor, and that's not nice, nor is it fair.

Before Britain can viably take any more people, we need to sort out the housing issue, there is no point adding to the problem, it's not fair on those trying to sort it, or those being added on to the list of 5 million.

Imagine we had border controls, and not because Germany gave us the OK for them, we had them because we wanted them, we can see who is entering, and who is leaving (which is equally as important).

Imagine we had sorted out our housing problem, and had adequate accommodation for taking these people in.

Would we be as hostile as what we're coming across? No.

Germany is pushing, and the further they push, the bigger the "No" campaign will get, if that's what Mrs Merkel and the rest of the EU want, that's what they'll get.

China Stock Market

A lot of people on the left are saying that if the Chinese Stock Markets continue to fall, the left could make a huge political gain from it.

However, here are a few difference people need to realise between what's happening now, versus what happened back in 2008.

Firstly the 2008 recession was down to the banks, not the Chinese stock market.

Governments across the world did not listen when economists warned about the recession that was due to hit, and did not regulate the banks, including our government at the time (Labour).

Many on the left will argue that the Tories said less regulation, yes they did, but unlike Labour they were in opposition, and could say pretty much what they liked.

In the end, Labour bought shares into the banks, some at ridiculously high rates, which would always mean a loss for us, the taxpayers who's money was used to bail them out, when this current government was finally able to sell them back again.

Today's problem has nothing to do with the banks, or any governments regulations. Our government can do nothing to stop what's happening in the Chinese stock market.

The only way Labour could gain political momentum is if this government deals with the up and coming recession badly... but we've already seen George Osborne guide us out of one recession, and he's done it pretty well,

So Labour are still on the losing foot, they really can't make any political gain, nor can they blame this on anyone except Communist run China.

Has Socialism Ever Really Worked?

Socialism is meant to help those at the bottom of society, and bring them up with the top of society.... or so socialists claim at least.

For many of us on the right, socialism means taxing the rich to the point that they leave the country, or become poor themselves.

For me Conservatism means; You earn it, you keep it.

That means, at least for me, that there's less need to rely on government, there's less need to worry about if the government will slash benefits, or unfairly use you as a point to be made.

Of course we all know not everyone can earn, either because they're a full time carer for a loved one, or they themselves are ill, or because lady luck keeps passing them by (which sadly does happen).

But when I read blogs, tweets, and articles regarding how socialism is for the better, naturally I go to look for examples where it has been implemented, to see if it really has helped those at the bottom of society.

Most famously I think is Russia, the first country to really implement the socialist Marxist ways.

Russia is an awkward one, the country went from a Autocratic Emperor who, although loved his country and people, couldn't see that Russia was behind the times, and wouldn't give up any of his power, nor was he the strongest or smartest of Tsar's to pass through Russia's grand history.

Then when Nicholas II was overthrown, and put into captivity, along with his wife, four daughters, and son and heir, was quickly murdered by those who hated him most, the Bolsheviks.

Who gave that permission, the man who said they would abolish capital punishment, Vladimir Lenin.

A man who had promised "Peace! Land! Bread!"

Peace; to take Russia out of World War 1, which he did..... only to start a civil war.

Land; to allow the slaves to own the land they were working on..... instead he followed in the Tsar's footsteps and took it for himself.

Bread; the slave could eat the food they were harvesting.... again he took a lesson out of the old Tsar's book and took the food for himself, giving out smaller rationings than the Tsar.

Crime was at an all time high, murders were being committed in broad daylight, famines were far worse than under the Tsar, and like the Tsar he had a secret police who spied on people who would be seen as a threat the un-elected dictator.

The Tsar called his police the Okhrana, Lenin called his the Cheka, both killed, maimed, and spied.

Then when Lenin died, Josef Stalin took over. The poor Russian people still were not giving what they were promised.

Stalin has around 34 - 49 million unnatural deaths which can be directly linked to him.

Famines so bad people turned to cannibalism, and after he helped defeat Hitler (who now looks like an amateur) carried on his dirty work!

But unlike Hitler, he didn't go after one specific religion, or race, just anyone who posed as a threat to him, from the poorest of peasants, to those who once stood side by side with him.

And he didn't call them concentration camps, he called them gulags.


Another example is China, another imperialistic country taken over by the thrill of the red flag.

Chairman Mao, what a beast that man is, oppression, repression, and plain old murder, yet where capitalism is king.... hypocrisy runs deep within it's walls.

Or you could look to Cuba, a country that used to have elections, but now has a rather similar system to that of our royal family, the Presidency is passed down generations, from Fidel Castro (leader of the Cuban revolution), to his son Raul Castro neither of which have been elected... ever.

In Socialist Cuba, the poor are still poor, and Castro is living the high life....


So all in all Socialism looks rather bleak, especially if you're at the bottom of the pile.

Capitalism needs to be kept in check, but my god at least it gives you the ladder to climb up out of the gutter, just ask any "socialist" author, journalist, comedian, singer who's had a number one tour/ book.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

There seems to be a lot of hysteria, at least within Labour, that Jeremy Corbyn has the best chance of winning this Labour leadership election.

He probably does, he's trying to take the party back to the good old days of Michael Foot, and Neil Kinnock.

Not that they were successful years, and as Einstein once said:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.

Are those, genuine supporters of Corbyn, who are going to vote for Corbyn expecting him to do differently?

Because of Scotland, do they think the rest of the country will make a turn to the left?

The Tories won the election, why? Because they didn't want a left wing government, Scotland did vote left, and they got left, and from what I can see so far there's only one worth while MP and that's the young Mhairi Black.

But even so England rejected a left wing Scottish involvement, so surely that speaks volumes that England, in particular, didn't want a left wing government?

Apparently not, many of Corbyn's real supporters are determined that England also wants a left wing government..... not sure how they're coming to this conclusion, but they are.

Why is he gaining so much support?

Not sure really, saying he might re-open some old coal mines (Why? What would that achieve?), or the fact that he'll nationalise the railways, but not in the same way as Attlee, he'll put the onus into our hands.... that'll be interesting.

But it's Labour's own infighting I'm finding fascinating. Some of those within Labour genuinely are terrified at the thought of a Corbyn victory.

Journalists like Owen Jones keep saying it's the right who's putting Corbyn down, but there's more hate for him from his own party than what there is from any Tory, or even the Prime Minister, who I'm sure is willing Corbyn to win.

Also listening to Corbyn's supporters, it's like the General Election all over again, not looking or listening to what others have to say.

Tony Blair said "When Margaret Thatcher won, it wasn't because the country wanted a far left Labour Party."

Instead the line they decided to listen to was his stupid, "If your hearts with Corbyn, get a transplant."

The fact that around 30 MPs have already refused to serve under Corbyn in a Shadow Cabinet role, and many are plotting Corbyn's very public political death, should he win, must be a worry for Corbyn and his supporters?

Apparently not.... will they ever learn, doubt it.

"People Are More Upset About A Dead Lion"

A lot of people are outtraged that there is more sympathy for Cecil the lion, than what there is for the people who are trying to illegally enter the UK.

Here's why.

Today I read in The Mirror that someone, in Paris, tried to bury their dog alive, thankfully another dog walker spotted her, and freed her.

A human being did this, a human being also took the like of a lion just so he could have another picture to hang on his wall, and show off to his friends.

Animals attack us when they feel threatened or hungry, humans attack for nothing but the pleasure of attacking.

The people who have fled to Calais should, by law, stay in France.

France has housing, jobs, benefits, and is buy and large, a safe country, what is the need to come here? Why is Britain so much better off than France?

Is leaving France, really worth your life?

Is Britain that good of a place, that you're willing to risk, not only your own life, but perhaps that of others around you, maybe some children?

Humans are unnecessarily putting their lives at risk, whereas the dog trusted her owner with her life, and was betrayed in the most vile way.

Cecil was lured out of his safe zone, killed, beheaded and skinned, by a human, who did it for fun.

That's why there's more outrage for a lion, or a dog versus what people in Calais are putting themselves through.

Why I Don't Believe In Socialism

There's a few reasons why I don't believe in socialism, but I do try to live by some of what it stands for.

Fairness I believe in, I try to live by that, although I do realise I fail miserably at this sometimes, I honestly do try to treat everyone with fairness, and most of the time, I do a pretty good job.

I have many friends who are left wing, and sometimes I find myself preferring their company to those of my friends who are believe the same stuff as I do.

Why? Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment.

But here's what I don't believe in.

High taxes. What's the point of giving majority of your earnings away, just to receive it back at a smaller rate? Where's the common sense?

Surely, if people are keeping more of what they earn, there's less need to rely on the government?

Also, if these people who can earn, are earning, and keeping majority of what they're earning, there's more money for those who have absolutely no choice but to rely on the government?

I also believe some companies, larger ones especially, need to pay better wages, to help this become more of a reality.

Equality. Like I said in the beginning, I try my damnedest to treat people equally. I am pro gay marriage, I am for equal pay, I am anti-racism.

I am, however, anti- all women shortlists. I think it's insulting to women. Are we not good enough to stand against men? Are we too weak to be able to fight our own battles? Are men so bad that we have to ban them from certain things? Surely it's being sexist towards men?

Fairness should left to the left, it should just be something we all try to be, fair.

But is fair to punish someone for being in a highly paid job? Is it fair to ban men from certain things?

No.

However, if you are part of the 1% and consider yourself to the left and believe in higher taxes, by all means get your accountant to work out how much tax you believe someone on your salary should be paying, and pay it.

If you find yourself with a cheque at the end of the year for a rebate, you don't have to cash it in.

Stop preaching, and start doing, actions speak louder than words.

Is that what Labour is doing now with Jeremy Corbyn?

Are they hoping it'll be different this time round?

I've mentioned it before, but hope is another worrying factor, as the ancient Greeks saw hope as an evil, hence why they put it in Pandora's Box of evils.

So in a nutshell, Labour are "hoping" that if Jeremy Corbyn wins, that they'll move back to their old territory and win the nations trust?

Doesn't sound too promising now.

Although I wish every luck to Mr Corbyn, at least he's getting people to talk about policies, unlike Miliband who had people wondering what blunder would he next make.

 However, Mr Corbyn's views might be healthy for the world of British politics, I am less certain that his leadership bid will be healthy for the Labour Party.

Calais Migrants

Imagine living in Syria, if that is at all possible.

You have your government, the people who are meant to protect you, chemical bombing you, and when you try and flee the chemical bombs you run the risk of bumping into ISIL or ISIS, who sometimes bury people alive, including women and children, Crucifixion, or burning.

Can anyone blame these people for fleeing? No.

I wouldn't a child of mine growing up in a country like that either.

However, here's where I get confused.

The EU states that the first European country you step foot on, is the country you claim asylum.

So firstly, how are they getting through all these other countries and making it to Calais? Why aren't the other European countries doing more to stop this?

Secondly, what is so special about the UK that people are willing to risk their own lives, and the lives of their children, to make it here?

Some believe it's our benefit system, others believe it's our housing (not that there's enough houses to go round), others believe it's to escape the horrors of their native countries, and some believe it's because they're pretending to be asylum seekers, and actually they're ISIL wanting to plant a bomb.

France, buy and large, is a safe country, they have jobs, housing, health care, why are people so desperate to get here?

What can they get here that they can't in France, or Germany, or Belgium?

Why aren't other countries within the EU doing more to stop the migrants from moving from country to country?

Why does the EU look to us to take the brunt of this mass migration? Especially as we're one of the smallest countries within the EU.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Jeremy Corbyn.

Not only is he the most principled man in the contest, he's actually left wing.

He believes in socialist principles, and instead of loving him, the party is now running scared from him.

Why would a so called left wing party, run scared of a genuinely left wing leader?

I asked Twitter, some people have said:

"Because they value power over principle, it's harder to get a left wing government into power."

"Because they can't win with left wing policies. Most people want to get on, and the left seem to look down on that."

"Because they all like the idea, but don't want to actually live it, they're all plastics."

Quite damning statements from Twitter!

When a genuine Conservative leader finally comes along, the Conservatives don't run scared, they don't plan a coup to get rid, they embrace.

There's more solidarity in the Conservative Party than there is in the Labour Party. Why?

Because we like people bettering themselves, we don't discriminate, if we did would John Major, a working class bloke from Brixton, have become Prime Minister?

Would Margaret Thatcher, Britain's only female Prime Minister, have been elected three times in a row?

A good strong leader, with Conservative values? Come on in!

The left, without knowing it, do discriminate.

Tony Benn, privately educated, adored by the left, yet they want to rid the country of private education.

Harriet Harman, current Labour leader, privately educated, but remember she isn't as posh as Samantha Cameron despite being a niece of an Earl.

All women shortlists, because women are too weak to stand against men?

Paying higher taxes, and when you point out that you could pay higher taxes now, they give you a list of reasons why it wouldn't be viable to pay it right now.

Capitalists, despite all of them being very good capitalists themselves, usually about writing a book on why we should all be anti-capitalists.

Discrimination, hatred, and hypocrisy is the left's downfall.

They won't put their money where their mouths are, in their world it's OK to live like a capitalist, so long as you talk like a socialist.

Unlike Corbyn, who did not want his children going to private school, claims very little on his expenses, and dresses in a rather mediocre fashion.

For the life of me, I actually am starting to like him!

Labour Party? What Labour Party?

What a sight the Labour Party is to behold.

Imagine you've been a Labour voter all your life, whether it's because of Tony Blair, Tony Benn, or it was drummed in to you from a young age, and you've watched the Labour party go from a winning machine in 1997 until 2005, to one of it's worst defeats since the 1980's.

You then start to wonder why, and how.

Why is the Labour Party failing so dramatically?

How did it go from a history changing victory landslide, to an embarrassing defeat?

From 418 in 1997 to 232 seats in 2015, how did this happen?

Then you look at the leadership. 2005, Labour's last victory, Tony Blair was still leader of the party, he was still doing his cheshire cat smile, and saying "call me Tony."

He was an actor, a performer, witty, but serious, a joker, yet a statesman, he had it all, but yet knowing deep down his head was firmly up George Bush's arse.

Then you move on to 2010, when Gordon Brown was leader, a man who didn't know how to smile, saw unemployment rise 2.5 million, didn't know how to deal with financial crisis, and sold gold for it's lowest ever value.

Then there was Ed Miliband, a man who was a feminist, without doing anything for feminism, a man who pulled weird faces, thought he was cool because he sat in Russell Brand's kitchen, and started to honestly think he was a sex god.

And then you look at Harriet Harman, a woman who hardly challenges David Cameron, especially when she tells her party to abstain on something that Labour would normally be extremely against.

You see three of the leadership candidates abstain, and one stick to his principles.

Ah the truly left wing candidate, what's he about? He's against bombing ISIL, yet he's friends with Gerry Adams, a man who blew up people for a living. Jeremy Corbyn is basically a wanna be Tony Benn.

Yvette Cooper? Well she's a female carbon carry on of Ed Miliband, and we all know how that turned out!

Andy Burnham? Another carbon carry of Ed Miliband.

Liz Kendall, the new face of New Labour? New New Labour perhaps? A red Tory? Or a Blue Labour? But no-one likes New Labour anymore, they failed the country badly.

How much despair can this party go through before it finally cracks in two? Or possibly three! 

Socialism Has Always Failed, and It Always Will

Socialism has failed the very people it’s meant to help.

Just look at Russia a hundred years ago, when the first world war started, they had a Tsar, and autocrat, a dictator.

The Tsar, Nicholas ii, had the Okranah, a secret police who infiltrated enemies of the Tsar, who were then brought to justice, either by being exiled to Siberia, or hung.

The Tsar also owned the lands that the peasants worked on, and the pay was extremely poor, and often famines were widespread.

When, just before the war ended, the revolution happened, and Lenin was finally in power, something he had craved for years, what did he change? How did he make life easier for the poor people of Russia?

After all Lenin had promised three things to the Russian people.

“Peace!” Meaning he would end Russia’s involvement in World War One, which he did, but by capturing, and killing the overthrown monarchy, he helped create a civil war, the Whites (pro-Tsar) vs the Red (pro-Lenin).

“Land!” Meaning he would allow the peasants who worked on the land, to own the land. Instead he took it for himself, rather like the Tsar.

“Bread!” Meaning the food of the land they were working on, was theirs. Again, he took for himself, just like the Tsar.

Also, like the Tsar, he had a secret police, the Cheka, who, like the Tsar’s secrect police, infiltrated those who were against the dictator that was Lenin, and they weren’t exiled, they were just hung.

Also, like the Tsar, famines were widespread, but this time, the famines were a lot worse, in fact crime rates soared.

Often shops were looted, murders were committed in broad daylight, and more and more people were dying of starvation every day.

If you were caught keeping food from the Cheka, you were killed.

Somehow, Lenin managed to cause all this devastation holding only a small strip of Russia itself, as the majority of Russia didn’t want Lenin, they didn’t want to be under communist rule.

And without Lenin, the Russian people would never have had the pleasures of being under the dictatorship of Stalin.

Josef Stalin, a man who oversaw famines so bad people turned to cannibalism, who oversaw the defeat of the Nazi’s to just then carry on the genocide and concentration camps and call them gulags, who oversaw the deaths of 34 – 49 million “unnatural” deaths.

Or we could go to Cuba, where their elected president was overthrown by communists, who, like Lenin and Stalin, who took power, and kept it, all for themselves.

The last time the Cuban people elected their leader was back in 1944, when Fidel Castro came to the fore, he took away people’s rights to vote, and became their leader, and quite like our royal family, pass down this presidential office to his son, and heir.

Or Venezuela, where the president has only stayed in power because of a decree, the first steps to forming a dictatorship.

Where a packet of condoms costs $755, and food shortages, because of the Hugo Chavez economic policy failings, are so bad crime rates have soared, as well as food bank usages.

Or North Korea, where the communist rule, also quite like our royal family where the mantle is handed down to the son, treats people as robots, you are not allowed a sense of humour, unless given permission, you are not allowed an opinion, unless you agree with their leader, and you are not allowed internet connection.

Or China, a country who gives the people of Hong Kong their leader, who tells them all to be more like sheep.

A country who kills it’s Bhuddist Monks, who kills people for protesting, who treats people like vermin.

As you can see, socialism, has always failed those it’s meant to help. The poor stayed poor, the rich found more power, and in some cases, those who opposed faced the noose.

Why has it always fail? Because of us, human beings, we are greedy, we are narcissistic, and we are opinionated.

 Reasons why the left cannot wholly unite under one party, or one dream? No one person can agree with another 100% of the time, unless your life is at risk then maybe you could.

But with a choice, we all have a different variation of how we’d like to see things happen.

What might be fair, and equal to one person, isn’t to another.

The British left, however, are a different breed of left to that of other nations.

The British left are victims, everything is bad, nothing is good, the government are never handing out enough benefits, jobs are never paying well enough, they’re anti this, and anti that.

The British left are a depressed bunch.

3 out of the 4 Labour leadership candidates are from the same ilk as Tony Blair (we all know how that worked out for us!), and the other reminds me of Tony Benn, a man who nearly split the party.

They want all the benefits, without consequence, they don’t want responsibility, they don’t want to be accountable for themselves, they want the government to take care of them.

Yet the British left is prepared to point the finger at anyone else but themselves, and they fail to see the hypocrisies that dog them, for instance:

Tony Benn, a stalwart of the Labour party, the granddad of the British left, spent his whole political life attacking those who were at the top, and dodged paying their full tax bill.

After he died, it was revealed that he used a loophole so his children didn’t pay any tax on the £5 million inheritance he had left them, not one peep from the left.

 But when Gary Barlow, the famous singer/ songwriter/ musician, accountants used an offshore bank account so he avoided paying the full tax bill, purely because he had backed the Tories during the 2010 general election, the left went up in arms about it.

Showing equality? No.

Russell Brand, the comedian who wants a revolution, then told people to vote Labour because he spoke to Ed Miliband for a couple of hours, who didn’t answer any of the simple questions asked of him, and decided that everything was “Wrrong! You’re just Wrrrong!”

Russell Brand, the man who is against capitalism, without it would be living squalor, the man who capitalised on his ability to make people laugh, and became rich, the man who thinks the rich should pay more tax, but won’t do it right now.

Charlotte Church another anti-capitalist rich entertainer, who capitalised on her ability to sing beautifully as a young child, the woman who has never worked a hard days graft in her life, married a professional rugby player, and lived in luxury most of her life, but also thinks rich people should pay higher tax (70% to be exact), will not put her money where her mouth is.

Owen Jones, the Guardian columnist, CHAVS supporter, and anti-establishment author, made £88,000 from his second book, earns £30,000 from his weekly column at the Guardian, and God know how much he makes from the BBC with every appearance he makes, despises the 1%, despite being part of it, claims to hate capitalism, despite being a very successful capitalist.

Vivienne Westwood, one of fashions leading designers, created her wealth by selling to the rich only, despises capitalism.

Labour, a party who claims it is for the working class, has always left office with unemployment higher than when it entered, higher debt, higher taxes, and the gap between the poor and rich always, always widens under Labour.

Last time Labour were in power, they sent out search parties for more immigrants to come to our country, but failed to build the required housing to accommodate them, helping to create the housing crisis we are currently facing.

They announced that they were going to sell our gold, almost miraculously the price of gold fell to its lowest ever value.

They started a war on false pretences, which cost us money and lives.

Labour want you to have your cake and eat it, but sadly, life isn’t so cushy, in reality, you have to earn your cake, before you can eat it.

You have to measure out the ingredient, mix them right, then put it in the oven, at the right temperature, for the right amount of time, let it cool down once it’s ready, decorate it with fine detail, then it’s ready to be eaten.

Sometimes you might make a mistake, and have to start all over again, other times it is salvageable, and sometimes you get it right first time.

Either way, you have to work hard, before you get to enjoy the end result.

Labour want you to cheat, and go to a baker, who you can then blame if turns out nasty, or not as you expected.

Not us, not the Conservatives, we believe we should only be responsible for ourselves, that way you know who's to blame.

Nazi Salute

The Sun released footage of a 7 year old Princess Elizabeth (who in 1933 was never going to be Queen), doing a Nazi salute.

It also shows the Queen Mother, at the time, Duchess of York, doing the salute with them.

A few people have tried to capitalise on the video of a & year old performing the Nazi salute, performing the salute before they had even been voted in to power, before they had committed any atrocities, before their plan for mass genocide was put the fore.

If there was any information about the Nazi's being as anti-Semitic, I doubt the Duchess of York and her children would have been privy to the information.

For instance, if something happened when Fergie and Andrew were still married, would the Palace have been her as someone of great importance to relay information too?

No, and nor would have the Queen mother have been at that point in time.

Is it unfortunate? Yes, but innocent, and the Queen, her husband, and the rest of her family did the best to combat the Nazi's.

The Queen herself joined the women's forces, very famous pictures of her proudly showing off to her mother and father what she had learnt, and proudly wearing the uniform.

So please, before we all jump the gun, it was before the Nazi's were elected, it was before the mass genocide, before they invaded Poland.

At this point and time, Hitler was actually thought of as a saviour for the German people.

The European Left Is Doomed... Good!

The European left is in disarray.

Greece voted in Syriza, a far left wing party, a party of  "hope" many on the left here and in Spain thought. (Please remember the ancient Greeks thought of hope as an evil Pandora's box)

Now, their leader, Alexis Tsipras, has gone back on every word he promised the people of Greece.

He promised that if the Merkel and Co didn't agree with the settlements he proposed then he would lead them out of Europe.....

Sunday night/ Monday morning he agreed to harsher austerity measures from the EU, and the IMF in order for another bailout.

That's not what he promised the people of Greece, and that's not what their Spanish equivalent, Podemos, were hoping for either.

Even Podemos is suffering it's own losses before it's even begun.

A few months ago they had mayoral elections, Podemos didn't put forward any candidates themselves, however they did back people who represented views extremely close to theirs, and were successful.

However, rather like Tsipras, the Madrid mayor has now said that the policies she said during her election campaign weren't promises, but what she would like to see implemented.....

Podemos have been suffering in Spanish poles recently.

And then there's the British left (who are finally waking up the fact that the EU is nothing more than a giant bully).

Scotland's left wing is alive and kicking, and it's kicking the English as hard as it can.

Scotland want independence, but God forbid England want devolution!

Labour died an awful death in Scotland, and as Mhairi Black said in her maiden speech yesterday:

"I didn't leave the Labour Party, it left me."

10 powerful words they should adhere too, instead Labour has decided back Tory decisions to cap child benefits to the first two children.

Now, as a Tory I am extremely glad that Harman has decided this, but if I put myself as life long Labour supporter, like Mhairi Black's family were, I'd have felt like I'd been let down immensely.

Imagine you've stuck with Labour through thick and thin, you voted for them during the disastrous 1980's, and during the New Labour era of Blair and Brown.

Labour wasn't the only left wing party to suffer awful defeat, the Liberal Democrats were not spared anything.

From 56 MP's wittled down to just 8.

Scotland is, by and large, a socialist state. It has chosen a truly left wing party, and I wish them luck, as the SNP are at least worthy opponents, of this strong Tory government.

So what's happened to the European left?

People are finally waking up to the fact that the left is full of hypocrisy, they promise you one thing, and give you another.

Left wing motto: Do as I say, not as I do.

Greece Echoing Their Ancient Ancestors?

Greece is in full crisis mode. Banks are shut, pensioners are queuing and crying, people are running out of money, 613 jobs a day are being lost.

Their government seem to be relying on one thing to get them through this… hope.

Now we all know the story of the Pandora’s box, a story written in the times before Christianity, and when the ancient Greeks worshipped the Greek Gods such as Zeus, Aphrodite, Poseidon, etc.

Pandora’s box is rather like the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, it shows that temptation is sometimes too strong to ignore.

Pandora was told never to open then box, but she did, and all the evils that were in that box were supposedly let loose on us mortal humans, except one evil, and the evil that managed to stay in the box was hope.

Why did the ancient Greek Gods see hope as evil? Because it makes you act under a delusion, and can make people rather lethargic.

Instead of really thinking the matter through thoroughly, and making sure all the details are correct, you're just concentrating on what the end product will be, therefore missing some of the small problems that you will come across and sorting them out, you ignore them, hoping they go away.

Not noticing that these small problems all collect together to create one big problem.

Recently the European left have been bleating on about a “politics of hope” for quite a while now, maybe the Greek government, and the left in general should remind themselves of Pandora’s box, and remember that it was thought of as an evil.

Budget 2015

What a budget! First Conservative budget in almost 20 years (nearly most of my life!)

I thought, as you would expect, it was a well balanced, thought out budget, fair and square (perhaps with a few niggles here and there, but nothing awful).

Then I ended up thinking, is there anything in that budget the left can complain about?!

Apparently so, but it is slightly hypocritical.

Before the election in May, Ed Miliband, the then leader of the Labour Party, promised that he would get minimum wage up to £8 an hour by 2020, the Conservative Chancellor yesterday promised it would rise to £9 an hour by 2020.

A whole pound more, surely the left would be stumped?

No, they've now decided this isn't enough, am I surprised? No.

Let's face it, anything the Tories out do on Labour will never be high enough, the left are the depressed side of politics with their anti- this and that, is there anything that the left is pro or for?

They always see the cup as half empty, instead of half full, instead of making the best of a situation, all they see is chaos and destruction.

Then again, if the left didn't see the world in this way, would they exist as they do today?

Would we be having this tube strike because the drivers want more, and more pay?

Would they be chanting, ironically, about hope for Greece, which is surprising as the ancient Greek Gods used to think hope was an evil, as it can make you act under a delusion. Perhaps that's their problem.

Russell Brand = World's Biggest Bullshitter

Russell Brand has said that the minute silence tribute to those who were murdered in cold blood, last Friday, in Tunisia is "Bullshit".

30 of the 38 people who were murdered were British.

Russell Brand sometimes thinks so far out the box that the box is no longer in view.

For some reason, Brand can't see that this tribute is exactly that, a tribute. It's not hypocritical, it's a small gesture we can give to these innocent people who died.

They deserve to be recognised, and respected, they deserve one minute, one simple minute.

Instead Russell sees it as some capitalistic hypocritical opportunity, because Britain sells arms to the Tunisian government......

Instead of seeing it as the one minute these people deserve. Many of them died protecting their loved ones, others died hiding or trying to run away.

Either way, none of these people deserved the death they got, and the smallest tribute we as a country can give them is one minutes worth of silence.

I have huge respect for the dead, the families of the dead and injured, respect for the locals who formed a human shield.

As for Brand...... who cares?

Calais

What's happening in Calais is nothing but desperate.

France is having a go at us, the UK, for not doing more at their border, look France, it's your border, your country, you do a better job!

But that's not the main issue, firstly, how many countries have they gotten through before they've even reached Europe?

How many countries have allowed these immigrants to just walk on through? How many countries have not completed the correct procedures? How many countries have allowed these people to slip through?

Why are these people stopped before they get into Europe? Let alone getting all the way to Calais, or even Dover!

Why aren't the European countries who border the Asian countries doing more to stop them there?

Why are we being blamed?

If Merkel and co want us to stay in the EU, sort this problem out before they get this far! Have stricter controls on Eurasian borders! Do the job properly!

And to the Home Secretary, and the Government in general, do a better job at the airports, at Dover, at every other port in our country.

If you can tell me Mr Smith in the Shetland island's hasn't paid his TV licence, but can't keep track of illegal immigrants, there's something going terribly wrong!

On Saturday the left were successful for having a peaceful demonstration against austerity, and for that I congratulate them.

However, please, please get better speakers.

Russell Brand has never worked a day in his life, Charlotte Church has never worked a day in her life, Owen Jones has never worked a day in his life.

All of them are capitalists, they have capitalised on their talents, and it's paid off rather handsomely.

Brand capitalised on his ability to make people laugh, Church capitalised on her ability to sing, and Jones capitalised on the ability to write about others struggles.

They're all rich from the backs of us, without us buying tickets to their shows, books, or even buying a newspaper, they wouldn't be sitting in, let's face it, luxury, they'd be with us, at the bottom, or somewhere in the squeezed middle.

They've never known what it's like to struggle to know how much food they could buy for their families.

They've never known what it's like to run a business, and hope you get paid on time so that you can pay your staff.

They've never had the these stresses, yet they claim they're anti-capitalism, anti-austerity, and pro-redistribution.

Church recently claimed she would quite happily pay 70% tax. When a few people told her she can pay 70% tax, she gave many excuses not too.

Brand has said he'd pay higher tax, once again when it's been pointed out to him he can do so now, he gave excuses not too.

Please, please stop the hypocrisy, start practicing what you're preaching, show us that it works, prove us wrong.

Actions speak louder than words.

With the Labour leadership now fully underway it just goes to show the fractions within the party.

Leading the battle so far is Andy Burnham. a man who oversaw the Mid Staff atrocities back in 2009, and who has really nothing else to offer, he would be a gift to the Tories, and a supposed Blairite, therefore not left enough.

Then there's Yvette Cooper (Mrs Ed Balls), who isn't exactly leadership material, a Brownite, and another gift to for the Tories, not left enough.

Then there's the Tories biggest (and only threat), Liz Kendall, hasn't performed that well so far, but when she's on form she can be quite damaging, however, for some in the Labour party, not left enough.

And now last but certainly not least, Jeremy Corbyn, a true left winger, out of all the other candidates stood shoulder to shoulder with the late Tony Benn, especially on the "Stop The War" campaign, he supports Sinn Fein (a party lead by the ex leader of the IRA),  anti-Israel but pro-Palestine (led by Hamas, a terrorist group who sympathise with ISIS).

You have three left of centre candidates, with the first two candidates firmly in Ed Miliband's ground of politics (and we all know how that turned out), Liz Kendall on some issues slightly more to the left, and others more towards the centre, and then Jeremy Corbyn, an old school left winger, who's not afraid to voice his opinions.

The unions want Burnham, will this influence the Labour party members to vote for him? Probably.

A lot of voters want Cooper, a strong headed woman, but the unions don't want her.

Kendall will never win, but she is the best candidate so far.

Corbyn, a reminiscent of Tony Benn, he could be dangerous...... not for the Tories but for Labour itself, let's face it, since Blair, the party is now more of a centre, centre left party, very few in England agree with his politics, and if he's a supporter and friend of Sinn Fein, and it's murderous leader Gerry Adams, he'll ruin the Labour Party.

So my advice? Vote for Corbyn, he'll destroy the party, just like Benn almost achieved 30 years ago.
