The Audacity of the Left

A few days ago, left-wing blogger Jack Monroe tweeted:

"Because he uses his dead son as mysty-eyed rhetoric to legitimise selling off our NHS to his friends: #CameronMustGo"

Now, quite rightly, this caused a little bit of a stir, to use someone else's dead disabled son in a stupid tweet such as that is vile.

Since then, she's received rather vile tweets herself, such as threats towards her son. For me that is as wrong as her original tweet, and defeating the object of pointing out just how vile she was.

However, what's really got to her is an article in the Daily Mail by Sarah Vine:

"To readers wondering how, as a lesbian, she got pregnant in the first place, her son was the result of a relationship with a man, shortly after which she realised she was attracted to women. Born Melissa, in 2012 she changed her name to Jack."

Have to say, not sure why it's important to point out she's a lesbian with a child, in the 21st Century there are bigger and better things to say, however, this is what's got their goat, not the fact that Jack used the dead disabled child of our current Prime Minister to have a political shot at him....

I thought the left were people of high morals, apparently their high morals only come into play when they feel they're being victimised

Will she say sorry? I wouldn't hold your breath.

Russell Brand to run a Mayor of London? Nothing Ironic There At All

There are rumors saying comedian Russell Brand will stand for the position of Mayor of London.

A man who's never voted in his life, wants you Londoners to go out of your way and put your trust into him, and his 'alternative'.

A man who isn't against open boarders policy, is against big businesses (despite giving Hollywood a lovely boost in profits), and hasn't really offered an alternative.

Despite him now backtracking since one of his idols, John Lydon (Johnny Rotten), slammed him for telling people not to vote, Brand is hardly a worthy opponent of anyone.

Firstly, what alternative? An alternative political system. And what does that mean? Well even he doesn't know, as when Jeremy Paxman asked him that, all he could say was "Well I haven't invented it yet Jeremy."

So basically, there is no alternative, false hope is alive and well.

But I can see Brand's train of thought; the Mayoral election isn't until 2016, so maybe he'd of come up with alternative by then.... socialism will basically be his answer.

With that in mind, you might as well vote, if the rumors are true, for Eddie Izzard, who would run for Labour.

Russell Brand, the 'revolutionary', who's not only got the left wanting an alternative, but even more dangerously (for him at least), the right are also starting revolt. But that's life, a double edged sword that'll protect you, as well as cut you, so be careful what you wish for, as it might just come true.

The Left Have It All Wrong

Just listened to Russell Brand's "Trews" video where he's basically trying to arselick John Lydon, because he called him a "bum-hole".

But, after his arse-licking, Brand inevitably brings in UKIP, and basically asks what all those on the Left are asking, (which just proves they are not listening to a word to people who have immigration issues):

"Immigrants are the fulcrum of our social problems; was it immigrants that caused the stock market crash in 2007-2008? Is it immigrants who are awarding themselves big bonuses? Is it immigrants that are lobbying across the United States that are privately funding the Conservative Party?"

Now those who are left-wing, such as Mr Brand, please listen, people aren't against immigration because they "caused the stock market crash" or because they "award themselves bonuses".

People are against the AMOUNT of immigrants entering our country every year, and if we're completely honest, people don't like how immigrants are able to claim benefits from the off.

Not so long ago on BBC Three's Free Speech, Owen Jones (my favourite little leftie), said that:

"Only 7% of Britain is built on."

And this information from the Office of National Statistics from August 2014:

"A total of 560,000 immigrants arrived in the UK over the 12-month period to March, while an estimated 316,000 people left."

That's 244,000 more people entering Britain, and with only 7% that's been built on, any wonder why we worry about immigration levels?!

Until the left understand this, and keep voting in leaders such as Ed Miliband, they will continue to lose their voters to UKIP.

But like I've said before, the left never face their problems head on, the sweep them under the carpet hoping that we will forget about it, or that the problem will simply go away. Not this time!

English Vote For English Laws: Labour Playing Deaf and Dumb

Ed Miliband, and the rest of Labour, are playing deaf and dumb to English Votes for English Laws, or as one man said on Twitter (@PaulGoodmanCH) today:

"Hear no EVEL, See no EVEL, Speak no EVEL"

Labour, meant to be the 'peoples' party once again ignoring the millions of voices wanting to be heard.

To be honest, this is nothing new, in fact it's a well known Labour trait. They did it when millions of people took to the streets over ten years ago about the invasion in Iraq, and they're doing it now with EVEL, and the EU.

For a party that tows the line "the peoples party", they really aren't too good at listening to "the people" when they actually want a say.

For example, if Gordon Brown had miraculously won the 2010 general election, would Scotland have been given a referendum? Doubt it, especially as they had 41 seats at stake.

They currently won't even entertain the idea of an In/Out referendum on the EU, and now they're blocking talks on bringing in EVEL, yet promised it to a country where there are plenty of Labour MP's.

In fact, they don't mind Welsh Vote for Welsh Laws, as once again they reign supreme, even in Northern Ireland they are too fussed about giving devolution, but England where the Tories (and now possibly UKIP) reign supreme? No chance.

They're putting party interests before country interests. Ignoring the voices of their own voters, for the voices of their paymasters.

But in doing this, they're forgetting the fundamental rules of the left; fairness, and equality.

To allow devolution for three of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom is noway near fair, nor is it equal.

But Labour and Ed don't care, they will sacrifice the morals on which the party was built, all for the sake of power.

Ed is currently far to busy in researching Eastenders to be worried about the English having equal rights as the rest of the UK!

Benefits Freeze

George Osborne has just laid out a line of benefit freezes, Labour and the left in general will be screaming at their TV's!

But they are angry at the wrong people, they should be angry at Labour.

Labour allowed any Tom, Dick and Harry to abuse the system, they didn't regulate the banks enough, bailed them out with our money, and overspent by starting a war on false pretences, and selling gold for it's lowest ever value.

If Labour actually controlled who could receive benefits, and how much, the banks, and didn't start a war on false pretences, maybe this Tory-led government wouldn't have to be taking such drastic measures.

And for those of you wondering if George Osborne for not repeating his line from four years ago, of getting rid of the deficit by 2015, which is now obviously an impossible task.

Osborne had no idea of the scale of damage Labour had really done to our economy, even Osborne was giving them a benefit of doubt, never again.

A great speech, by a great Chancellor.

UKIP Defectors, This Is For You

Douglas Carswell, and Mark Reckless I have a few questions for you.

  1. What has UKIP politically achieved that can legitamise your defections?
  2. What has UKIP achieved in the European Parliament that can legitamise your defections?
  3. After the next years general election UKIP will only gain a few seats, what can they, and you, achieve with these seats to legitamise your defections?
  4. How can UKIP make Britain a better place, and please do not answer with leaving the EU?
Those are my questions for defectors or those looking at defecting to UKIP, because to me, they are a one trick pony, lead by a man who the public dislike, and this is weirder than Ed Miliband, and that takes some doing.

The party hasn't achieved anything in the European Parliament, and if they have, it's been so insignificant that nobody has noticed.

So please answer these questions, just so I and others, can get a real good understanding of your defections.

MP's Vote For Airstrikes

Yesterday MP's voted for the UK to have six aircraft join in military action against ISIS, despite this, there are many who think there is a better way, but they haven't yet said what it is.

One Labour MP has quit because of the vote for military action, my question to those people is, what should we be doing?

Many of these who hold reservations against airstrikes are finding similarities with 2003 Iraq/ Afghanistan invasion, but here are a few differences:

  • Firstly, government officials out in the Middle East have asked for our help in airstrikes, but have said they do not want ground troops, which we are not providing.
  • Secondly, MP's have been informed of the status, and of course, have been given a right to vote for or against, unlike 2003.
  • We, the UK, only have six aircraft taking part, we are a very small detail in this process to bring down ISIS
Now I have a questions for those who have reservations.

  1. Should we not try to help the innocent women and children who are being buried alive?
  2. Should we not try to help those who are being held captive?
  3. How would you recommend that the Middle Eastern governments could control these extremists?
  4. How, if not military action, could the West help?

ISIS are brainwashed thugs, and there's one thing you can't do with a brainwashed thug is negotiate. It's not a situation where we can try and have a diplomatic talk with these people.

One year ago I was completely against any intervention in Syria, I was also against our government helping out the rebels, but this is different, as ISIS threaten bring bloodshed to the West, should sit back and wait for them to act on their word?

Should we sit back and hope, if no publicity is given, that the cult will finally die out?

Hope gets you so far, and sitting back doing nothing gets you even less, we need to act now, and show them we are not a force to be reckoned with.

Good luck to those who will be going out there.

Ed Miliband's 2014 Conference Speech

Let's face it Ed Miliband's speech was rather boring, and depressing.

If you were watching abroad, you'd have wondered why immigrants fight to get over here so much, he made Britain sound like an open prison.

And things only got worse for Miliband, he forgot half his speech, perhaps parading around the stage trying look cool, and "in touch" isn't the best way to remember your lines, or look like a true statesman.

Sadly for Ed, it was fairly obvious he'd forgotten a large part of it:

"One vote at a time. I said to her “how are you voting?” she said “I haven’t decided yet.”
Turned out her name was Josephine. She worked as a cleaner in the building."
Or my other favourite, particularly, slow moment:
"You know, the other day I was in the park. I was actually trying to work on my speech, believe it or not, and I wasn’t getting anywhere, so I went to the park and there were two young women who were in the park and they seemed excited to see me and they came over. "

We gathered you went to the park the first time you said it. So not only was it a boring speech, it was a patronising.

According to Ed, the Scot's are very undecided people, despite the NO campaign winning by a larger margin than anyone had polled or predicted.

Also that everybody, unless you're a millionaire, is extremely poor, living on the breadline, fir instance:

"Like a young woman called Xiomara who works in a pub near where I live.

She lives at the opposite end of the country from Josephine. She’s separated by at least a generation. But they share a common experience. Xiomara couldn’t afford to go to college. So she got a job in the pub kitchen nearby, washing dishes. She’s worked incredibly hard and she’s worked her way up to be one of the chefs.

But like for Josephine, life by Xiomara is incredibly tough. And by the way, she thinks politics is rubbish. And let’s not pretend we don’t hear that a lot on the doorstep. What does she see in politics? She sees drift. She doesn’t think we can solve her problems, now we’ve got to prove her wrong. And it’s not just that people like Xiomara and Josephine are struggling with the problems of today and millions of other people."

My favourite line "She thinks politics is rubbish." Yes Ed, she does, because leaders like you are giving the most boring, uninspiring speeches every written.

He then went all 'New Labour' on us, repeating his word of the moment three times: "Together, together, together." But unlike Blair's original repeat, it sounded like, ironically, the advert for a loan company.

He also went into stereotyping mode, apparently anyone who is supporter, or voter for the Tories are:

"gold mining, luxury hotel owning, Putin award winning, Russian oligarch, and you have got a £160,000 to spare to bid in an auction, you won’t be on your own; you will be on tennis court playing doubles, with David Cameron."
Why wasn't I told this earlier?! If only I knew I was a gold mining, luxury hotel owning, Putin award winning, Russian oligarch, who's got £160,000 to spare to bid in an auction, playing tennis doubles with David Cameron!!!

But my favourite of the whole speech was his, at least passionate, standing up bid:

"That’s why I stood up to Rupert Murdoch over phone hacking."

Is standing up to Rupert Murdoch being pictured with The Sun three times? No Ed, no it isn'tand by my reckoning, it was the last Labour government, which he was Energy Minister, that turned a blind eye to the phone hacking scandal.

"That’s why I stood up to the banks over bonuses. That’s why I stood up to the payday lenders over their exploitation of the poorest people in our country. That’s why I stood up to the energy companies over their profits and prices"

Can someone please tell me when he stood up banks, and when he says he stood up to the payday lenders, how? By stealing their slogan of 'together'? His claim of standing up to the energy companies is laughable, as when he was energy minister, prices rocketed, because of his green levy tax, and most recently they rocketed when he 'promised' to cap prices, so thanks Ed, for standing up to these people…

So all in all for me, Ed's speech was funny, for all the wrong reasons, boring, predictable, and patronising.

Labour Will Lose The Next Year

Ed Miliband is finished, he is in so many difficult situations that aren't disappearing, such as:

1. Rotherham, recently came to light that over 1,400 children had been sexually groomed from 1997 until 2013.

Turns out Rotherham council turned a blind eye towards the abused children as the abusers were from ethnic minority backgrounds, and didn't want to be seen as being racist, ahhhh....

(Here is an independent inquiry into the Rotherham abuse http://www.rotherham.gov.uk/downloads/file/1407/independent_inquiry_cse_in_rotherham )

2. New Labour, people haven't forgotten the economic mess the last government plunged us into, in fact, as much as Ed Miliband tries to distance himself, New Labour is lurking in the background, waiting to make another appearance.

3. English Votes for English Laws, is a no go area for Labour, especially as England is predominantly a centre-right country. Of course they will oppose this.

4. EU referendum, people aren't happy with how the EU are treating us here in Britain, and we want a say, however Ed Miliband is acting deaf and dumb, and our calls for a say in the way our country is being treated is falling on deaf ears, only David Cameron is offering us a say.

In fact, Labour were offered to set a quota in the first seven years of the EU, but decided against it as they thought only 20,000 immigrants would be coming over, how naive.

5. Benefit fraud was hug under the last Labour government, over £1 billion was lost due to fraud. However, you ask any person who considers themselves left of centre, and this lost money is no big deal, I'm not sure the families who genuinely need their benefits would feel the same.

6. Overspending, a dogma that has followed Labour since the very beginning, Watching Labour spend, is like watching a 16 year old girl being given a credit card to spend, then looking shocked when it's been blocked, and now needs paying off.

If Labour want to prove they truly are the "people's party", and that they've learnt lessons from the past, get a back bone and give us a say in what happens to our country, and stop spending so much, when have you ever heard of someone becoming rich through overspending?

A Few Questions For Alex Salmond

I have a few questions for Mr Salmond, if the Scottish people vote for independence.

Westminster subsidises roughly £10 billion a year to Scotland, so my first question is:

  1. How will Scotland manage make that much revenue?
Yes Scotland have the North Sea Oil, but you can't rely on just one industry, so my second question is:

     2.  What other industries will Scotland invest in?

With the generous subsidy from Westminster gone, which allows Scottish students go to university for free, my third question is:

     3.  Will Scotland have to introduce the tuition fee?

So, for all you Scots who are going to vote very soon, please ask yourselves these questions, as they will make a great impact on your life, should you vote for independence.

Rotherham: All Involved Need To Be Prosecuted

If the Rotherham police, council, and other authorities think that being scared of a bunch of child rapists pulling the race card, what hope have we got for our future?

This is, whether we like it or not PC gone wrong.

Whether you're an English Christian, or a Pakistani Muslim, if you are raping children, your ethnicity, and religion will no, and should not give you a get out of jail free card.

Nor should those who are working within the local authorities be more scared, or less scared by someone's ethnicity, and religion.

If you know that someone is raping children, or in this case, know of a gang who have raped 1,400 children, and do nothing about it, you are as guilty as the men performing the atrocities on these children, and deserve as a bad of a punishment as them.

Labour claims to stand for equality, I'm pretty sure they would have stopped it had it been a group of white English men who were committing these horrendous crimes, so why not show how you believe in equality, and stop it when it's a bunch of perverted Pakistani men?

When people allow these atrocities to be swept under the carpet, it doesn't help the already large prejudice against Pakistani's/ Muslims, creating more victims.

This is Labour largest problem, they don't tackle problems head on, instead they try to save face by sweeping it under the carpet, pretending it isn't happening.

All involved need to be prosecuted equally, as they are all equally guilty of committing, or helped in committing appalling crimes.

Depression

Another sad passing from the entertainment world today. Robin Williams, a great, fantastic, magical actor, comedian, and gentleman.

It is widely known that Robin Williams suffered from depression, alcoholism, and drug abuse, but the sad truth is, he obviously felt as if there was nothing that could save him, and help him.

That's the problem with depression, it overtakes your mind in the most awful way.

Like many others out there I have suffered from depression, and used to drink myself into a stupor. At the age of 17 I could drink 6 cans of 6% cider a night, go to bed at 2am, and wake up for 6am and get to work.

When I look back now, it terrifies me how I never caused an accident on the way to work.

Alcohol, along with the depression overtakes everything, it's like being addicted to cigarettes, you're constantly thinking about when you can have another one.

People often used to say "What about your mum? Your dad? Doesn't it bother you to see them so upset about you?"

Well yes, it does, but doesn't help, instead it fuels the depression, which fuels your need for alcohol to forget about it.

It's a vicious cycle, one that seems to never slow down, just speed up.

I was lucky enough to have my mother beside me, basically kicking me into touch! Sometimes a bit of tough love is what you need. Other times it's just being listened too, some just want to be left alone.

Depression sufferers are often like Robin Williams. Hilarious, none of my friends believed me when I told them how I felt, I was always the happy go lucky friend, the one people turned to for a laugh.

Some of my friends still don't believe me. Which is fine, as I am lucky enough to have gotten over the worst, but it never leaves you, even now I have bouts of feeling down, all my family can do is wait for me to get out of it.

Those who suffer from depression need more support. I didn't know who I could turn to professionally, I know many others also have felt the same.

If there's one thing to come out of Robin Williams' sad passing, I hope it gives hope, and help to those who feel they have no where to go.

Hypocrisy from the Left.... Again!

The horrors that the Palestinian people are going through is unimaginable.

Saturday saw another march, with notable lefties like Owen Jones, and Seamus Milne speaking in 'solidarity' with the Palestinian people.

Not that the march actually helped the people of Palestine in anyway, in fact majority of Palestinians probably didn't even realise there was a march in sunny, safe London.

But what about the Iraqi people, who are being buried alive, decapitated, shot, and starved to death, purely because of their religion.

That's a march I would join, that's a march I would be proud to show some 'solidarity' for the Iraqi people.

Until those who oppose Israel's threat, show their disgust, and organise a march against ISIS too, I will never take them seriously.

When Baroness Warsi resigned because she doesn't think that the Tories are being consistant enough with their anti slogans, I lost all respect for her. Where is her consistancy of disgust at ISIS? Where's her words of comfort for those who are living in the mountains because they are being chased from their homes?

Owen Jones today wrote in his column for the Guardian, that anti-Jewish hatred is on the rise. Well Owen, when you, and others, show your equal disgust at Hamas firing weapons from hospitals, and schools (weapons they aren't trained to use), then maybe the hatred for the Jewish community wouldn't rising as fast.

When you show your equal disgust at ISIS, and go on march showing your solidarity for the Christians who are being buried alive, decapitated, and starved, then maybe the Jewish community wouldn't be being singled out.

Until those who do have the media platform to voice their equal disgust at ISIS, the anti-Semite will only grow.

Ed Miliband: From The Leader Of The Opposition

A lot of those on the left are trying to make out Miliband's stupid, and unfeeling note on his wreath remembering World War One, was not on purpose, and a political issue should not be made of this.

Of course it was not done on purpose, he might be thick, but he's not heartless.

But what if he was our Prime Minister, can you imagine how embarrassing it would be, if you saw that all our Prime Minister, or his team, could be bothered to put on a wreath marking the centenary anniversary of the Great War was : From the Prime Minister

We'd all be ashamed and angry, and quite rightly so.

Ed Miliband, and his team, knew this day was coming, in fact we all knew this day was coming! The excuse that he didn't have time is pathetic and insulting.

Ed needs to get a new team, and start growing a back bone.

It's not exactly a great advert for an up and coming election; "He can't organise a note on a wreath, how on earth will he be able to organise our country?!"Was a tweet I read after they saw his, or his teams, note.

Ed Miliband is becoming a parody, not even a funny one at that.

He needs to stop worrying about his image, and taking selfies with Lily Allen, and Joey Essex, and start concentrating on what matters, and remembering those who died for our liberty is one of them!

Pictures of Dead Victims Is Always Wrong

Yesterday Owen Jones blasted people for tweeting pictures of the dead from flight MH17, that was shot down over Ukraine and Russian boarders.

Yes, he was right to blast those who tweeted pictures of the dead, but he's the one who retweeted pictures of dead children in Gaza.

Firstly, tweeting the pictures of any dead victims is wrong, whether you've got the permission of the parents or not.

The children who had been blown up whilst playing innocently on a beach, did not give consent, and is so disrespectful to that child to tweet a picture of them bloodied up.

That child's face does not deserve to be plastered all over the internet for any Tom, Dick or Harry to gawp at.

Disrespectful, distasteful, and down right vile.

Privately Educated? How Dare You Be In The Cabinet!

After yesterday's cabinet reshuffle, a lot of people are damning the new Education Secretary, Nicky Morgan, for being privately educated.

How is damning someone over their education OK? Surely it's another form of discrimination?

Personally I don't care if Nicky Morgan, or any other Cabinet member was privately educated, all I care about is whether they can do a good job or not.

Why left need to bring up someone's education is rather annoying, especially as it's OK for Harriet Harman to have been privately educated, or even Ed Balls.

Labour are not the working class heroes they claim to be. Ed Miliband may have gone to state schools, but still had a privileged life compared to his fellow students.

So before start becoming personal, let's make sure they can actually do a decent job, let's face it Nicky Morgan has a monumental job of ensuring parents that their children are in safe hands.

Michael Gove

Today we learn Michael Gove has been sacked as Education Secretary.

A lot of fellow Tories are complaining this is a sign of weakness, I'm here to say it's actually a good thing.

Firstly, parents really didn't like him, and they're the people we are trying to gain the trust of. With Gove gone, and Nicky Morgan in replacement, parents might feel more satisfied.

Secondly unions, teachers, and Labour, be careful with what you wish for. Sometimes it's better to have the devil you know, than the devil you don't.

This move has helped David Cameron. and hindered Ed Miliband. It was a clever, and necessary move. Please remember, Michael Gove hasn't gone, he's still very much involved within the Cabinet.

Do Strikes Really Work?

If you're really annoyed about something the government has put forward, you tend to go on strike, especially if you're part of a union.

However, how many strikes against governments have actually worked in the last century?

  • 1926 General Strike - Unsucessful
  • 1978-79 Winter of Discontent - Unsuccessful
  • 1984-85 Miners Strike - Unsuccessful
  • 2002-03 Fire fighters strike - Unsuccessful
  • 2013-14 RMT Strike - Unsuccessful
  • 2013-14 Teachers/ Firefighters/  Strike - Unsuccessful
Six major strikes, six major loses.

What are the union bosses doing so terribly wrong?

Could it be the timing of the strikes? Or the reason for their strikes?

All the strikes mentioned above were conducted at times of financial difficulty throughout the nation, and they were all about pay, except the Miners Strike which was about pit closures.

Recently teachers received a 1% increase in their pay package. Apparently this increase is an insult to them, despite the fact that there are many more sectors who have not received a cut, but have received cuts, and pay freezes.

If they were receiving a decrease, or further freezes, then perhaps I may have been a little more understanding, but the fact that they received an increase completely destroys any sympathy I may have had.

1926 we have the Great Depression after World War I, money was scarce, and jobs were far and few in between.

1970's were a complete shambles from both the Tories and Labour, allowing the unions to bring the country to it's knees. Binmen, grave diggers, teachers, factory workers, all striking because they wanted more pay.

1984-85 Miners Strike, where Magaret Thatcher planned to close pits, causing an uproar within the NUM, which then allowed her to shut even more pits as the country carried on fine without them.

The current strikes we face today with the RMT, NUT, and FBU are once again over pay.

Maybe, when we hopefully reach some financial stability, and public sector jobs still are not receiving adequate pay increases, that's when unions should strike.

During times that every sector, whether you're in private or public, are receiving pay cuts/ freezes they should carry on like the rest of us.

July 10th Strike

Firstly, I'd like to start this with three simple questions:
  1. Why is it OK to listen, and obey one millionaire, whilst you chant angrily at another?
  2. Why is OK to put your well being above all others?
  3. Why is your pay more important than mine, or any other person out here?
You are not striking for my pay, or any other persons pay, you are striking because you, and your millionaire union leader, isn't happy with a 1% increase. Not because of a decrease, or stale mate in your pay, because of a rise.

This increase will never affect me in anyway, so no you are not doing it for everyone, just yourselves.

Why is alright to put others in another difficult situation? Teachers will make parents either take a day off unpaid leave, or pay someone else to look after their children.

Whereas firemen, and women, will be putting lives at risk, all because of money, of greed.

Let's have a look at how teachers, and fire fighters pay rises up through the ranks!

Teachers:
  •          First time teacher can earn -  £21,804 outside of inner London, and £27,270 in inner London
  •          It can then be raised up to - £57,520 out of inner London, and £64,677 in inner London
  •          Head teachers can receive from - £42,803 up to £113,303

Fire Fighters:
  •          Trainee fire fighter starts at - £21,157
  •          Once fully trained get’s immediately raised to - £28,199
  •          They can then go up to - £29,971 - £31,263 - £31,940 - £34,961

I have one friend who is a teacher, and three who are firemen, my teacher friend isn't striking because she isn't a union member.

I asked her why she isn't a union member, she said it's because she's scared of the bullying that entails within unions.

I asked my fire fighter friends why they are striking, they said because they don't want to be blacklisted from other fire stations, they don't want playground bullying, it's easier to go with whatever the union says to do.

That isn't solidarity, that isn't camaraderie, that's pure bullying tactics.

Len McCluskey has just received a £5,000 increase, making his salary £140,281 per annum, where's his solidarity? Why isn't he on a national average wage, and putting your money to good use?

My last question is, apart from causing disruption to millions of families, what are you hoping the government will do? This is the second strike from teachers this year, and what have achieved so far? Nothing. What will they achieve this time? Nothing.

So well done Len, you've achieved nothing, again.

Andy Coulson

Andy Coulson has been rightly found guilty the allowance of phone hacking during his time as Editor at the News Of The World.

Quite rightly, and people are angry at David Cameron for having employed this man, and David Cameron has quite rightly given a sincere apology for doing so.

However, I've noticed the old Labour front benchers, such as Andy Burnham, Ed Balls, and Ed Miliband starting to make a huge fuss over this employment again.

We all know why, because they were in government when it all happened.

Three years ago, when the hacking scandal came to ahead, an NOTW journalist claimed he'd been hacked, to which ex Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Prescott replied something to do with Karma.

So when I tweeted him, saying that it was under his government that all the phones got hacked he replied with "But we didn't know they were doing it."

Hmm, not exactly the answer I was after. They could tell me That Mr McDoodle in the Shetland Island's hadn't paid his TV licence, but couldn't keep an eye on a few journalists 4 miles down the road.

Not exactly a great advert for Ed, so no wonder he's cooking up a storm about Coulson's employment with the Tories.

For me it's Labour who need to be answering questions, not David Cameron, as it was a Labour government who turned a blind to it all.

Mr Miliband we aren't that stupid, we know your party covered up the NOTW.

Russell Brand: He's no John Lennon

It's funny, Russell Brand was born in a working class background, and still has working class issues he wants to address and raise.

However, I've been watching the reaction of the people who went on Saturday's #MarchAgainstAusterity demo, and a lot of them didn't appreciate him turning up.

I actually feel quite sorry for the man, apart from the fact that he's a very rich hypocrite, he still wants to march, and be with the people he grew up with, and they've completely disowned him.

Maybe it's because he hasn't distributed his wealth equally among those he grew up with, I don't know.

I can only find one person who was glad to see Brand there, and that was the warm up act, Guardian columnist Owen Jones.

On Mr Jones' facebook profile, he made it fairly obviously the only reason Jones was glad he was there to help spread the message (despite the fact that even with Brand there, the march still failed to make the national news).

Poor Russell Brand, he seems to want to emulate the late and greats of John Lennon, and Karl Marx, but fails to find the right words to get those he who he desperately wants to receive acceptance from.

Maybe he should quit comedy and become a full time journalist, dedicated to writing about the struggles, and woes of the working classes, whilst distributing his wealth equally among those who need it the most...... nah!

Ed vs Labour

Labour has a big problem... it's leader.

Ed Miliband has awful personal ratings in the polls, yet Labour are still points ahead of the Tories.

I think I know why this is.

When we all look at Ed Miliband, no-one can imagine him going to America to stand side by side with President Obama, or going to the G7 Summit and looking like he's come to fix the computer, and accidentally sat in on their photo.

Whereas his brother, David Miliband, would have slotted in quite nicely.

In fact, David Miliband would have made a meal of David Cameron and Nick Clegg (although, Nick is doing a good enough job on his own).

I'm also pretty sure, that had David Miliband won the leadership, he wouldn't have been photographed holing a copy of The Sun:

Multiple times:

People seem slightly confused with the current government, a lot of people like their policies such as the cap on benefits, the promise of a referendum on the EU, and seeing Theresa May get rid of terrorists such as Abu Hamza.

At the same time, they like hearing about Ed's energy cap proposal (despite it raising costs), reckoning with the banks (despite it giving the banks a near £2b loss in shares, and his bankers bonus tax (which seems to be a never ending pot of money).

So I believe Labour are in the lead because of their promises (most of which won't see the light of day), but can't stand the man who is promising them.

Ed only got in because of his nickname 'Red'Ed, and the unions having blind faith in a nickname, with people having blind faith in the unions and following suit.

Next year will be an interesting election, as they prefer David Cameron, but with Labour's policies.

Why The News Ignore Anti-Gov Protests

Yesterday, thousands of people marched through London in an anti-government protest.

At the end of the march, Owen Jones and Russell Brand said a few words of encouragement each, to the large crowd of protestors.

Since then, Owen Jones has tweeted his frustrations that hardly any of this has been mentioned on the news.

Well Owen, here's a few reasons why.

Firstly, and thankfully, it wasn't violent, everyone was well behaved, and the march went on without a hitch.

Secondly, you're having an anti-government protest against the Tories, and against the cuts, when there are countries like Iraq who are having to fight against ISIS, a dangerous terrorist group, who goes around killing thousands of innocent people on a daily basis.

Countries like India, and Pakistan, who are going through a spout of rape, and murder against young innocent girls.

Countries like Syria who is attacking it's own people with chemical weapons.

Countries like Brazil, who are having anti-world cup protests because there are people who will never feel the benefits of the profits made from the world cup. There are people who are living in squaller within metres of every stadium, but nobody seems to care.

The fact that you, and a few thousand people don't like the Tories, and their cuts, is neither here nor there. In fact, we already knew you didn't like, them, we already knew that you were against the cuts, so why would the news report about it, again?

We are so extremely lucky in this country, and those who protested went back home, had a nice meal, and went to bed safe and sound, and well.

That's why you didn't make the news, because there are far more important things happening around the world, that you should be more angry about.

Benefits Britain: Life On The Dole

Am currently watching Channel 5's program on living on benefits.

The one thing that has really annoyed me, Labour!

Labour has been around for over a century, and yet still there are the poor.

I am not angry at anyone on this program, in fact, I feel so sorry for them, they've been let down by the people who claim to want to help them the most, Labour!

There's a young man, who was sadly ignored by the bus, and made to walk an extra 7 miles, and then was so nervous forgot what he wanted to say.

I work in a company who is thankfully, still small enough to care for each and every individual. I see young men who come in, looking a mess, can only speak a few words of english, but with the right helping hand, become brilliant young engineers!

I am proud to work with these young men, all from working class, different countries, different religions.

It wasn't Labour who helped them, no, it was a private company, no union backing, wanting to help those who haven't been given the chance.

When Labourites like Owen Jones, claim that the Tories are against the working class, and wanting to turn them against themselves, he hasn't got a clue.

Left-wingers like Owen haven't got a clue because not one of them have actually helped a young individual, like the company I work for, get out the rut they're stuck in and make a go at life.

Anyone can go and interview someone in trouble, but not everyone can help someone in trouble.

Sometimes you have to help yourself, until someone will help you, other times you're noticed before it gets that bad, and sadly sometimes you're never noticed, but I like to think most people are helped.

There hasn't been this many in work since 2005, basically since Labour started to ruin our economy. You can put New, or Old in front of it, you still end up with the same old Labour.

Benefits Britain is thanks to Labour, not to Tories, or capitalism. Capitalism wants people in work, in fact it needs people in work in order to be capitalism, it's socialism which doesn't need you earning.

British Values: The Left are Scared of Them!

Why do the left hate Britishness?

For some reason it absolutely terrifies them.

Owen Jones has written in his Guardian column today that this attempt from the government is "meaningless at best, dangerous at worst."

However he, and many others on the left, would fight tooth and nail if ethnic minorities felt that their values were being deleted, ignored, or squashed.

So why is it "dangerous" to want British values also recognised?

I feel as if the left see British values as a white mans game, instead of a universal thing.

Britishness today celebrating, and respecting, other religions celebrations such as Diwali, Ramadam, and Eid.

It's having an Indian takeaway, kebab, Chinese, Lebanese, etc.

When the left run scared of British values, and Britishness, they're empowering far right-wing groups like the EDL, and BNP, and even growing parties the UKIP, which to me is far more dangerous.

I for one welcome teaching British values in schools, it's where they're born, and live, and we should all be proud of it, not running scared.

Rik Mayall: My Hero

I love Rik Mayall, and yesterday when I had heard he'd passed away, I actually cried.

Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson both taught me one particular thing about comedy: to not give a fuck and enjoy it!

For me Rik and Ade were the real life Tom & Jerry, their slapstick comedy was, and still is the best out there, no one comes near to their them.

Rik Mayall taught me about facial expressions, don't think I've ever seen a more expressed face in my life, he was a comic genius.

There's an episode in Bottom, "S'Out", where they are out 'camping', and have a fight over hobnobs. They don't talk for the whole scene just pure and utter slapstick, Tom and Jerry creators would have been proud of that scene, it has me in stitches every time.

Another hilarious fight scene is when they play chess, just another pure slapstick moment, with Tom and Jerry eye bulging acting from the duo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yH0Vh3ZBoQ

If you're a budding comedian, whether it be in a group, as a double act, or stand up, watch Rik Mayall, you will learn a lo from him.

RIP Rik, the people's poet is dead :(

Lib-Lab Pact

A lot of talk about a Lib-Lab pact after next years general election.

Those loyal Lib Dem voters, who haven't abandoned Nick and co yet, seem to think this could be their saving grace.

After the way Labour treated them during the negotiations after the general election in 2010, I can only see more damage to be done.

Labour doesn't respect the Liberal Democrats, in fact Labour are more afraid of UKIP, a party without one MP, than the Lib Dems who have over 50.

So if there is another hung parliament, which swings in favour of Labour, will the Lib Dems get the same offer that the Tories offered them, an actual partnership in government?

No. They will literally be asked to form a coalition in order to make up numbers, and it will be an all Labour cabinet, the Lib Dems will effectively still be an opposition party.

Question Time

Just a quick little gossip about being in the audience of Question Time.

Firstly, when David Dimbleby picks you out to speak, your heart, or at least mine, goes ten to the dozen! The fact that half the nation is watching, and you've got Piers Morgan, Joey Barton, and three politicians all listening intently to what you have to say is frightening.

However, I do believe that the show needs revamping. The concept is old, and we all know what to expect. Maybe give the audience a little more time to grill the panel, maybe try to get more front bench politicians on there, especially those who will provide a controversial opinion.

Joey Barton has gotten himself into hot water again, but not exactly a surprise, Piers Morgan seemed to want to please the audience rather than express his own views, and the three politicians, well we only really heard from one, and that was new UKIP MEP, Louise Bours, who held her own quite well I thought.

Do go if you ever get the chance, it was good fun, and you get to see David Dimbleby up close!!!!

Photo: Me n Joey Barton!

Nick Clegg: Killing Of The Lib Dems

Nick Clegg had a real opportunity to shine in 2010, and make his party look more saintly than ever.

Instead, four years down the line, Nick Clegg and his party are in 'meltdown'.

Finishing 5th in the European elections, losing all MEP's bar one, and finishing behind UKIP in national polls.

Clegg had an opportunity to make sure the Tories hashtage #nastyparty really stuck to them, but people have passed that on to him and his party.

His right-hand man Vince Cable, the saint of the Liberal Democrats, has been extremely quiet, only popping his head up to damn Nick, and the Tories when public outrage at certain policies crops up.

In fact, Mr Cable has now cropped up again with a poll suggesting Clegg could lose his seat, but the backlash that has been received of this poll has lead to on Lib Dem peer, Lord Oakeshott resign, and made Cable deny any knowledge of it whatsoever.

I don't think Saint Vince was expecting this backlash, and has gone back into the depths of politics again, trying to be ignored.

They are in turmoil, and I believe they deserve to be. For at least 3 years of this term, majority of people forgot that the Lib Dems were even there, and when they did crop up, they received a tirade of abuse.

The Lib Dems have no one to blame but themselves, promising the world, and failing to act on it. This should be a good lesson to UKIP, because the Lib Dems never thought they'd be in government where they were expected to live up to their promises.

Remember those TV debates where Nick Clegg came out on top, and the whole 'CleggMania' was sticking the air?

He thought he was safe, stuck in third position, where his little party would be largely ignored and he could carry on promising the world. Now look at him!

Mr Farage, you're now treading on thin ice, if, and that's a big if, you actually beat the Lib Dems for third place, and have to form a coalition with either the Tories or Labour, people will actually want to see you act on your promises.

UKIP: A Good Kick Up the Backside for Tories, But It Seems Labour Aren't Willing to Listen.

After the UKIP onslaught on Sunday night, it seems David Cameron has listened to what the people want, one particular issue that is angering a lot of Britons.

UKIP won 24 MEP's, Labour won 20, the Tories 19, and the Liberal Democrats 1.

Firstly, if there's one lesson to be learnt, it's that people are not in favour with the Lib Dems anymore, UKIP are getting ready to take position of third party.

Secondly, the Tories didn't have as bad of an evening as first thought, and Labour didn't do as well as first thought.

In fact, for majority of parties, it was a disaster, and quite rightly so. It's about time we, the people, told our main parties that we are fed up of not being listened too.

David Cameron seems to have really taken on board just how annoyed people are, however Ed Miliband seems to have shut his ears to us, the people he claims to champion, and has apparently 'brushed off' Sunday's disappointing results.

Not the thing people want to hear Mr Miliband!

Owen Jones, in today's Guardian, is basically telling the Labour leadership to ignore why people have gone to UKIP, that we shouldn't concentrate on immigration issues.

And he wonders why UKIP has had a wonderful surge in the polls.

These are issues people want dealing with, the EU is an issue people want to get done, same with immigration, pushing aside with only fuel the anger, Owen Jones is basically telling the leadership to carry on where Tony Blair left off, ignoring the electorate.

Sadly for Labour, it seems Ed Miliband is gladly following this idea on.

So really it's only the Conservatives who can deliver any sort of discussion, and referendum on the issue playing on people's minds.

UKIP are a good way of letting David Cameron, and the Conservative Party, know what we are worried about, what we want them to do.

Why Has Being English Been Left to Just Us Whites?

Why can't you be English even if your family are originally from India, or Pakistan, or China, or Africa, or wherever?

Why can't Asian's and African's be English? Surely if they're born here, they are English?

My mum is half Irish, my dad is half Scottish and half Irish, no one ever questions whether they're English though.

My very close friend is half french, but because she's white, everyone assumes she's English.

We've got to stop letting groups like the EDL, and BNP take all the glory for being English, if you're born in England, no matter of the colour of your skin, or your religion, or where your family is originally from, you are English, and you should be proud of that.

In fact most people I meet who are of Indian, African descent are proud of being English.

England should be proud of our multicultural status, we should all sing our national anthem with pride, we should all fly the St George flag with pride.

Be English and proud, be Scottish and proud, be French and Proud, be Indian and proud. Wherever you're born, be proud!

A Raise in Minimum Wage? It Will Harm Businesses

Let's say Labour has won the 2015 general election.

Ed Miliband's first point of delivery is raising the minimum wage, you all cheer in happiness and glee, but there's something you have accounted for.

The costs of products will also rise.

Let's say a large company like Tesco's. who have 472,000 people working for them, I'd imagine quite a few of them are on the minimum wage.

I'll estimate around 45,000 are on minimum wage, which currently stands at £6.31, let's imagine Ed raises the minimum wage up to £8.50, that's £2.19 per person, doesn't sound a lot until you total it up to £98,550.

Now, Tesco's bosses aren't going to sit by, and allow a drop of nearly a £100,000 in profit, so what they will do is raise the prices of their products they are selling.

Basically, we are back to square one.

It'll be even harder for small to medium sized companies, to make ends meet.

Let's say you own a small engineering company, you're struggling to find work because people just can't afford it, especially as we are just starting to head out of a recession.

Ed Miliband's has actually acted on a promise, and raised minimum wage. You have 20 members of staff on minimum wage, who are now earning £2.19 more than what they were before.

So you raise the prices of your engineers by £4.00 per person, just so you can make enough to pay them, and your bills, and maybe have a little profit after.

You now have even less custom than what you did before, and the company has folded, putting at least 50 people out of work.

Once again, we are back to square one.

So Ed Miliband's lovely proposal of raising minimum wages isn't as lovely as it first seems, it will effect all of us, and not in a good way!

Labour's Manifesto

Let's go through Labour's current policies that they're promising:

1. Zero Hour Contracts

Ed Miliband has come out quite firmly against the zero hour contracts, despite the fact that 62 Labour mp's employ people on this, is he trying the old 'Do as I say, not as I do' approach to governing?

2. Groceries.

Recently Labour released a poster about VAT on groceries, despite the fact that majority of the items on the poster do not come under VAT. And today he reckons that he and his family spend around £70 - £80 a week on groceries (this man's meant to be the people's party leader!)

3. Energy Price Freeze

Ed Miliband has promised he will freeze energy prices if Labour win the next general election. When he decided to declare this promise, energy prices soared. So thanks Ed, we really needed that at the moment! Have to say, he never did declare what price he would freeze them at!!

4. Reckoning of the Banks.

Ed Miliband has also promised he will be 'reckoning' with the big banks. After his great speech about his reckoning, the banks lost £1billion in shares. ( Cheers Ed!)

5. Bankers Bonus Tax

The never ending bankers bonus tax. This little beauty is going to fund all his spending plans such as:
  • Building new houses
  • Job youth schemes
  • Turn empty shops into Community Centres
  • Will cut the deficit
  • Funding for more regions
These are just a few of what the Bankers Bonus Tax will fund. Just a bottomless pit of money!

Ed Miliband, the man who's going to 'reckon' with the banks, the man who will build our homes, the man who's going freeze our energy bills.

Ed Miliband the man who's weird!

Political Correctness Can F**k Off. What Happened to Being Polite?

I know, being slightly hypocritical, but that's how 'PC' makes me feel.

I hate the overly PC people. The type of people who claim to have lots of friends who are the ethnic minority and have traveled the world on a gap year, therefore they know everything about their lifestyle.

To me, someone like that just comes across as patronising, and ignorant.

I, and the majority of us, respect people's religion, and way of life, it doesn't bother me that it's different to mine, in fact I like to learn about it.

What I don't like is some middle classed white kid, who's never worked a hard days graft in their life, get's easily offended because I might not know as much as them about a certain religion, or lifestyle.

This is probably another reason why UKIP is having such a surge in the polls at the moment, they aren't as PC, they're saying the things we are too scared to say, just in case we offend the middle class, gap year kid.

So to you over-doers of 'PC', "calm down dear", we do realise that not all immigrants are bad, we do realise not everyone on benefits is committing fraud, we do know how to be polite.

Tories Lead for First Time in Two Years

For the first time in two years, the Tories have a two point lead in the polls.

According to ICM/Guardian poll:
Con: 33
Lab: 31
LD: 13
UKIP: 15

Lord Ashcroft also performed a telephone poll:
Con: 34
Lab: 32
LD: 9
UKIP: 15

To and salt to in the wound, Miliband is now rated lower than Nick Clegg in opinion polls, people just don't like him.

First he was weird, yesterday the Daily Mail had him down as sexless, thick and wet, and now his party is trailing in most polls.

Reasons why, firstly as Philip Johnson of the Telegraph points out today: "Politicians have stopped listening to us."
http://fw.to/EQLvJcP

And it's true they have, which is why parties such as UKIP, and now it's looks as though the Green Party is also picking up disillusioned voters, from both Tories and Labour.

Labour did have an initial rise in support due to Lib Dem supporters who had been let down greatly by Nick Clegg and co, in this coalition government.

However, Labour obviously aren't doing enough to keep their support and they're going elsewhere, or just no-where.

The Tories might have a lead, but it isn't substantial enough, there's a lot of work the Tories, and especially Labour, need to do to get the confidence of the voters back.

The Left are at it again!

Once again the left have ignored their worrying figures, and are concentrating on something else, completely.

The left, mainly Labour, are masters at sweeping their troubles under the carpet, whilst concentrating on others, such as Take That's Gary Barlow tax avoiding scheme, along with band mates Howard Donald, and Mark Owen.

If I were the Labour leader, I'd be more worried about the fact that, according to YouGov:

68% of people think that Ed Miliband hasn't made it clear what he stands for.

The Sunday Mail yesterday said that people think Ed Miliband is thick, wet and sexless (not sure what that's got to do with politics www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2625361/Voters-say-David-Cameron-cruel-Ed-Miliband-wet-sexless.html)

40% of voters recently said Ed Miliband was weird, I wonder why? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkFtUYfnpqs)

Labour have a lot more to worry about than tax avoiding celebrities, especially as The Guardian had it's own tax avoidance scheme (another thing the left like to brush under the carpet).

If Labour want to prove they're worthy of votes here's what they should do:

1. Yes make fun of the LibCon coalition, but also give us your plans if you were to win! Are we supposed to guess?
2. Stop trying to make Ed look cool, and give him some policies Len!(McCluskey)
3. Instead of ignoring your problems, tackle them head on, it'll make you look a lot more in control, rather than running scared

You've only got a year Ed, you need to start showing your leadership skills, otherwise your voters will go elsewhere.

The Un-credible Shrinking Man - Funny But What's the Point?

Last night we gt to view Labour's political party broadcast:

The only good thing I've heard about it was, 'It's funny, but we already know this. What are Labour going to do?'

Yes the acting was good, and the comedy timing was brilliant, but for those who already don't like the Tories or the Lib Dems, want to know what are Labour going to do!

In fact, those of us who are Tories, or Lib Dems want to know what Labour are going to do!

It seemed like Labour were gunning for Mr Clegg, and Mr Cameron rather than showing us that they're worthy of our votes!

And as Mrs Thatcher once said on personal attacks:

If they attack one personally, it means they haven't a single political argument left.

Not looking good for Labour!

That video should have been a mid term piss-take, not a serious political party broadcast, with exactly one year until the next general election.

It shows how scared they are of a Lib Dem reprisal (which is doubtful), and how they are completely unprepared for the general election, which is only 364 days away.

So Labour, Ed, and of course Len, what are your plans if you win the next general election?

How are you going to 'help' your working class voters?

We are still none the wiser and, I may be biased but, long may that last!

Sexism in Comedy

As someone who has had a good try a stand up, and still is trying every now and then, I can tell you there is a lot of sexism in comedy, and I'm one of those guilty of it myself.

When a woman appears on the stage people automatically assume she's going to be a feminist radical, thinking that talking about her menstrual cycle, and menopause is funny.

Even swearing isn't funny (unless you're Irish).

I've been up there, when the whole crowd look at you, men and women alike, disappointed, expecting the worst, and when I tell them funny tales of my family, friends and colleagues, a nice little surprise appears on their faces.

Sadly, it doesn't always win you the laughs, but it does help the audience warm up to.

Now I'm going to be a little hypocritical here, and blame Germaine Greer. The radical feminist who gets on a lot of people's nerves, including mine.

Her opinions are so strong that sometimes, she doesn't do us women any justice, only add the prejudice some people already have.

People seem to forget there are mainstream talented, successful comediennes, such as:

  • Jennifer Saunders
  • Dawn French
  • Sarah Millican
  • Catherine Tate
  • And of course the one and only Victoria Wood!
None of these women go over board, they stick to life, and life's little absurdities. They let us enjoy with them their stories, and sketches, things we can also relate too.

I've noticed, a male comedian is welcome to use any language he likes, he can use the word c***, and he'll get a rapture of laughter, if a woman tries to use it, nothing.

I sort of understand why, as I'm the same when in the audience. I don't laugh when a woman overly swears, unless she's impersonating someone, and I always dread a woman coming onstage just in case she is a young Germaine Greer in the making.

I think there needs to be more support for women in comedy, we need to get more ladies out there telling their hilarious stories and jokes.

Let's throw away the prejudice, and have faith in us ladies. We aren't all wannabe radicals who want to change the world, we just want to make you laugh!

Is New Labour Dead Under Ed?

There's a firm belief that 'New' Labour is finally dead, thanks to that of 'Red' Ed Miliband.

I'm not convinced.

Firstly, Ed Miliband spent from 1994 until 2002 working under Gordon Brown. His political career has been thanks to that of Gordon Brown, a major pioneer of 'New' Labour.

How do we know that Gordon isn't whispering in the young Ed's ear? How do we know Ed isn't going to him for advice on his policies? How can we trust him?

Not only that, we now have the children of New Labour coming forward for the next general election, such as:

  • Jack Straw son Will
  • Lord Prescott's son David
  • Tony Blair's son Euan
  • And Neil Kinnock's son Stephen (who's also married to the Danish Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt)
To me it looks as though New Labour is very much alive and kicking. The nickname 'Red'Ed is as false as his promises.

Another problem facing Labour is, are these men genuinely interested in Labour's cause? Or are they hoping for a fast track ticket to the front bench?

To claim you're the party for they people, and by the people, taking on ex-ministers sons who have been brought up in absolute luxury, doesn't exactly bode well with your public image.

If Labour are who they say they are, and have turned back time on New Labour, Ed's got a lot of work on his plate!
