Why The News Ignore Anti-Gov Protests

Yesterday, thousands of people marched through London in an anti-government protest.

At the end of the march, Owen Jones and Russell Brand said a few words of encouragement each, to the large crowd of protestors.

Since then, Owen Jones has tweeted his frustrations that hardly any of this has been mentioned on the news.

Well Owen, here's a few reasons why.

Firstly, and thankfully, it wasn't violent, everyone was well behaved, and the march went on without a hitch.

Secondly, you're having an anti-government protest against the Tories, and against the cuts, when there are countries like Iraq who are having to fight against ISIS, a dangerous terrorist group, who goes around killing thousands of innocent people on a daily basis.

Countries like India, and Pakistan, who are going through a spout of rape, and murder against young innocent girls.

Countries like Syria who is attacking it's own people with chemical weapons.

Countries like Brazil, who are having anti-world cup protests because there are people who will never feel the benefits of the profits made from the world cup. There are people who are living in squaller within metres of every stadium, but nobody seems to care.

The fact that you, and a few thousand people don't like the Tories, and their cuts, is neither here nor there. In fact, we already knew you didn't like, them, we already knew that you were against the cuts, so why would the news report about it, again?

We are so extremely lucky in this country, and those who protested went back home, had a nice meal, and went to bed safe and sound, and well.

That's why you didn't make the news, because there are far more important things happening around the world, that you should be more angry about.
