A lot of talk about a Lib-Lab pact after next years general election.
Those loyal Lib Dem voters, who haven't abandoned Nick and co yet, seem to think this could be their saving grace.
After the way Labour treated them during the negotiations after the general election in 2010, I can only see more damage to be done.
Labour doesn't respect the Liberal Democrats, in fact Labour are more afraid of UKIP, a party without one MP, than the Lib Dems who have over 50.
So if there is another hung parliament, which swings in favour of Labour, will the Lib Dems get the same offer that the Tories offered them, an actual partnership in government?
No. They will literally be asked to form a coalition in order to make up numbers, and it will be an all Labour cabinet, the Lib Dems will effectively still be an opposition party.
there will be no supply and confidence agreement from the Liberal Democrats with either Labour or the Tories. The Liberal Democrats have simply said they will first enter talks with the largest party if there is a hung parliament following the 2015 election. Although largest party isn't defined as to whether it would be largest number of seats (likely Labour) or largest number of votes (likely Conservative)
