Cutting vs Spending

The left just don't seem to understand why the Tories are cutting, well I will give a simple example of an average Briton.

Tim Smith, who's 17, wants to buy himself a car as he's jsut passed his driving test, how does he go about getting the money for the car; does he:

a) Spend all he's got and hope he's bailed out?

or

b)  save as much as he can, and CUT down on his outgoings as much as economically possible?

The answer is B, of course you already knew that.

Here is another example.

Sarah has got her first credit card statement, and sees she's spent a little more than she had originally planned for, does she:

a) Spend more on the credit to hope it gets so high she has to turn to a loan shark where the APR is well over 2000%

or

b) try and pay off what she's already spent, and try and sort out her outgoings, and see where she can cut down?

Again, it B that's the correct answer.

So, why on earth would anyone think that you would do the opposite when it comes to sorting out a failing economy?

How on earth can you spend your way of debt? You can't.

What Labour Promises You

Let's see what Labour are promising us if (and that's a big if), they win on May 7th.

1. To freeze energy prices, which we have already seen would have been disasterous as energy prices have started to fall.

2. Guaranteeing jobs for young people, but when you ask how can they guarantee a job for anyone........

3. Tax bankers on their bonuses which will fund about 5 different ideas:

  • It will cut the deficit
  • Turn empty shops into community centres
  • Build more homes
  • Funding for regions
  • Oh yes guarantee more jobs
4. 36,000 more NHS doctors, nurses, and midwives by 2020 (wonder if the everlasting bankers bonus tax will also fund these jobs?)

5. No EU referendum. Nope. Not going there. Won't even entertain the idea, despite the fact that they're friends over in Greece, Syriza, could single handedly destroy Ed's beloved EU.

6. To curb immigration........

7. More devolution to Scotland, but if you're England, Wales or Northern Ireland forget it!

8. To tackle the cost of living crisis, despite the fact that wages are now growing faster than inflation... oh dear not looking good.

9. Educaton...... still yet to hear a plan on education so they better hurry up just over 4 months to go boys!

10. Mansion Tax. Jim Murphy, Scottish Labour leader, has said he'll start spending the money from the tax on new nurses 95% of which will have come from the south east. By the way the tax will only hit homes worth £2 million and over, funny how Ed's mansion is worth £1.5 million

11. Hike up corporation tax, and wages at the same time, not sure businesses will be able to sustain this but Labour know best.......

12. They will re-instate the 50p tax rate because it was such a huge success last time

To put it bluntly Labour is talking a lot of bollocks. Contradicting themselves left, right and centre.
